I am sorry dude, you did not deserve any of the abuse. Fellow survivor of 13 years of violent sexual abuse from my mother as well. The abuse continued because no adult I begged for help from believed me. Eventually it was clear that nobody was going to believe me and I would have to survive alone. It makes relationships with women really tough. A lot of women are not ready to hear about my abuse. Yet keeping it locked up inside almost makes things worse- the deep shame and secrets poison my relationship. These evils need to see the light of day, but most people cannot handle it or don’t want to acknowledge it.

Nothing to the disgusting extent that you did but it's permanently darkened my view on sexuality. The hardest thing is exactly what you described. No one cares, no one validates your pain, because as a man, it's not something most people believe matters or know how to address. Most people will also treat you poorly, or differently, which is disgusting too. Just know you aren't alone and you should keep trying every day. I also autisticly lift weights in pursuit of bettering myself. Please keep going brother.

i empathize with the story about the one dude who went through that trauma and can find no connection with others who know of it, and the dilemma which knowing such is the case created for him; not because i personally have experienced something equivalent, but instead because i have seen these dynamics of people both consciously and unconsciously losing respect and/or interest in others because of petty and trivial things (not like this) especially ones that give some nebulous indication of something that in a primal view would cause people to change the way they feel about you (e.g. nobody viewing that one dude as masculine due to his prior position being viewable as extremely weak or something), so i similarly feel like i have to accept that the only interactions with people that will be at all normal/beneficial will not be real or wtv. to put it bluntly really i think we as humans should be past that now, but i think tis easier said than done cause of it being mostly instinctual as well as catered to by society currently for the most part, and i dont put my views into practice in my own life so where do i even get off saying this kind of thing ig

I was violently sexually abused by my mother from the age of 4 to 17. Not one adult I told believed me so the abuse never stopped until I ran from home for good at 17. I am in my mid-30s now and still wildly fucked up from the abuse.

that last guy should probably hold it in when opening up to people when it comes to his trauma. I know from experience, and mine isn't even on that level, that people will act very weirdly when you confess shit you've been through to them. Idk if it's anything to do with "male trauma" or anything like that, but either way it's better to hold it back unless you really trust that person. I've regretted opening up about my past A LOT, and learned the hard way it's better to just not talk about it most of the time. But you know... a therapist, a close friend/family member can help, at least when it comes to venting some of your frustrations and whatnot.
