I wonder how does John Romero feel about Doom, almost 3 decades later. It's still the main thing people recognize him for. I imagine it might be depressing, when something you made so long ago seems to be the best work you've ever done and nobody seems to give a crap about anything else you've done. It's like living in the shadow of your former, long gone self. IDK, it must be difficult, but I hope he's doing ok.

I mean, I'm no mind reader but I feel like it's a little easier to swallow if the thing you made nearly thirty years ago is as legendary and influential as Doom and Doom II. History will remember these games and the people that made them long, long after they're gone because of how important they were to our culture. It's like how we still remember great artists, inventors, philosophers, etc from hundreds of years ago, sometimes even more in cases where that society did a good job of documenting things like we do today. Personally I wouldn't mind being remembered that way.

You might have explained this in any of your analysis videos. But what happens if by chance, the player is at the exact position where a demon is going to respawn at the exact time of respawning. Excellent run btw. Cant wait for doom 2

Per one of his analysis videos from forever ago about special triggers assigned to particular map numbers, I'd assume the monster wouldn't spawn until a free space was available. There shouldn't be monster-on-player telefragging unless it is a map30.

Wasn't there a moment in one of his runs, where monster respawned inside of him and he stuck for a moment ? In my nightmare experience (Pr-Boom+ latest version), monster can respawn inside you or another monster Result is literally the same as paralyzing monsters, except you also stuck (just stuck on same spot, you can still turn and shoot) Monster is just stuck but can go into meele state, so if pinky or imp or bigger imp respawns inside you... Once at E5M9 pinky respawned inside me and ate like 100+ health, that was hilarious
