I just set this up for myself, and it's unbelievable the difference it makes in the handling. Even after my first basic use of the damper telemetry, I found a good chunk of time and the handling felt MUCH better. My consistency shot up aswell. Thank you for showing how easy it is to setup! Thanks for doing these. I am a Mclaren fan and i only really drive the 720s in ACC. this will be very helpful as i am not quick in hot lapping but ok at driving a normal race and exploit others mistakes.

While this is surely a very interesting topic, I want to stress that for a beginner the default aggressive or even safe setup in the very beginning is enough. It is all about understanding how the car works, how to treat it and which lines to take. You can achieve incredible laptimes even with the default setup as long as your lines are correct and you are driving cleanly.

And this is my main issue with ACC currently. I see people using default setups getting fast lap times and pace but I can't do the same. This is why I personally refuse to buy setups because if I am driving the car poorly with terrible driving lines then I am sure I will drive the paid setups poorly as well which will introduce bad habits.

Learn from Aris drives on KZbin he’s a genius and a developer at kunos! He has a video series on how to setup a car I use that and tend to find the car is suited to my driving one I’ve had enough practice in the default aggressive set up.

Of course, and it's worth saying some cars have much better, more competitive default setups than other cars. BUT, if you want to be at the front in leagues & Esports, you need to use this stuff or have an idea regarding how it works, no two ways about it.

@@Jaaames 100 percent agree with that. If you want to get to the absolute top times you have to adjust the car to get there. But very often on the internet people are like: I only do 2:25 at Spa, I need a better setup, which is just not true in most cases.

Just as a heads up to those of you trying to use MoTeC, I would use the guide on the download link to get things set up first and then import the workbook as importing data can get a bit funky when just adding the workbook straight in, Furthermore, the MoTeC folder you need to put it in may not have been generated yet

No issue here with any track, no special setup.

And use the generate sections (I leave the default 50%) to make sure it registers the corners and straights properly. For Suzuka you will need to select the crossover option in the track editor - this one had me stumped for ages

Only pad 4 is an "experimental" pad, pads 2 generally can only go 12 hours so you need pads 3 for a 24 hour if you don't wanna change brakes

Pad 3 over 24 hours is slower than using pad 2 and changing them for a new set after 12hrs.

Hi mate, when I use your MoTeC workbook, the Track worksheet doesn't produce the track course, just a round track. If I use the base_ACC with the same data it shows the correct track shape. Any ideas?

I know you drive the McLaren in real life... but if you can, try to use the ferrari 488 evo, since the McLaren in acc is a very stable car since the beggining. The 488 evo is much more complicated to setup and can provide you with more content for your videos. Awesome content btw... keep it up.

I see you have RST installed too. Why not use RST instead of Motec? I feel it is more user friendly as well as constant updates coming out on it for ACC and other games supported too.

I expect it is because Motec is free. There's not much more useful info in RST especially once you've got a good workspace in Motec. You also need to provide extra car data for RST that isn't readily available, some of which you have to guess. Motec is also used in actual motorsports so increases the immersion.

What's ur TC at? It's pretty normal depending on setup... If you're using the safe preset setup then it'll be pretty difficult to spin it. Whereas the default aggressive you should be able to

Set it to 900° in logitech software and in game at 900° then the game will set the correct rotation angle for each car automatically, if your on pc that is.
