I am so amused by Colleen’s reaction to the party in the woods story. I’m from the Netherlands we used to do this almost every wekend. We we’re allowed to go out at age sixteen but most parents didn’t know their kids were drinking. So we used to ride our bikes (this sounds so dutch) for 30 minutes and go to the woods and there was a picnic table there. So we brought a JBLbox and drinks and hung out and then all of us would get on our bikes again at like 1AM and bike for 30 minutes again and go out till like 6AM And then ride our bikes home again. So we had specific hang out spots that we knew how to find even in the dark. Yeahhh good times.

Oh sweet girl, we partied at a place in the middle of the desert we called The Iron Door about a mile from a dump yard. Just a group of teens, with a bon fire, music either provided by a car stereo or people brought out guitars and had jam sessions. Teens will gather wherever they can get away with it. The cops would leave us alone as long as we kept the fire low and stayed clear of the dump, as it was privately owned. Very few got completely toasted back then and we all had a curfew. Love to you!
