After yearsssss of thinking being thinner would make me happy it was actually initial weight all along that I felt most comfortable in.

I started yoga 3 days ago because I woke up that morning with knee pain so bad it hurt to walk. I’m only 21!!! I’ve had a desk job for 5 months and it has taken such a toll on me physically and mentally. I’ve had stomach problems for about a year as well, went to the doctor even had a sonogram but they couldn’t find anything. After my first night of yoga, i woke up instantly feeling so much better. My anxiety was almost gone, pain in my knees and back were gone. Just mild soreness in my shoulders. It was amazing to feel so amazing. I often feel like my body is just so broken down. Anxiety consumes me so often, but with yoga it is giving me tools to finally combat it! i’m so freaking excited! I’ve always toyed with going vegan as well, maybe you will inspire me to do so☺️ thanks so much for your creations :)

I really appreciate this! I just challenged myself to do at least 5 minutes of yoga a day. I've made it to day 51! Some days it's a long session, some days it's multiples and other times its 5 minutes in child's pose, but I can already feel the difference. I can't wait to see how I think and feel in a few months, or even in a year.

I just started doing yoga after work daily. It really brings me back to myself and I’ve been getting very vivid dreams about things I fear in my subconscious. I guess it’s bringing healing. I’ve also added listening to healing music, at 432 Hz. And adding more whole, living foods to my diet. All of this is helping me tap into something inside of myself that I haven’t experienced before. Thank you, Amanda, for being one of the KZbinrs who’s helped me along this journey.

Your video encouraged me to start practicing yoga even its if its just at home. Idk what it is but I have always been intimidated by yoga practice and I believe its just I know nothing of it and *open* to how it can benefit me and that’s why I’ve always put it off! Now that I’m expecting my second child, I’ve been reading so much how yoga has so many benefits for pregnancy and just for myself and well-being. Please keep making more videos and hopefully you make a video (when you can) for complete beginners and what simple moves you did when you started your yoga journey. Thank you for being you ❤️

It's beautiful how our bodies change to adapt to their everyday use. Our bodies are our "flesh machines" and they are meant to be functional, and that means something different for everyone. Also, the biggest gift yoga can offer is on a mental/psychological level.

I started doing yoga when I was doing my Master's Degree and the anxiety was an everyday thing! So, yoga and meditation helped me focus on my present at the time, living in Edinburgh, an amazing city, away from my country (Greece) and family. I keep doing yoga everyday for about two and a half years! I really love your content and I wish I could do the teacher training in India or here in my city (I am saving money for this lol)! I relate to everything your saying. I believe that what your saying is so important and beautiful, im deeply touched. And I also believe that you have to experience what you're saying to understand, and we can get there in different ways. But to learn to be in your Emotion and allowing whatever your feeling and being ok in it, not trying to change but also allowing if it changes. For me that relate so much too the flow in yoga. I am new in the yoga practice, and I have been practicing for 4 months and I love it, and I already feel alot of the things you've talked about in this video, and can't wait to experience further. 💜💚 Much love.

i had to pause this video and go do a little stretching. i realized that i felt like i wasn't even breathing deep enough. and that helped, also calmed my mind. in April i stretched every morning when i waited my coffee to be ready. it was like just a ten minute thing but i loved it. made it to my goal to do it every morning that month. did it. don't know why i stopped when May rolled around. i guess i felt like i wasn't being good enough so why carry on. like i'm so sure that if someone was in my room while i was stretching they would say something like "that's not how you do that, you have to do x, you're doing it wrong, wow are you sure you can't bend more than that?" ...it's sad because for me it's not even about how "good" i am with it, but to just be within myself and breathe. get my anxious depressed self to just be, trying to love little more that body that i so often hate, try to open up my lungs so i don't get asthma problems so often, try to get my blood flowing so i don't feel like passing out, so i wake up and feel energized even when i haven't had that first coffee yet. i think i have to set that goal for June too.

I feel the same way. As a petite woman, Ive longed for curves and a womanly body my whole life. I also struggle to have enough of an appetite to match the bulking I'd need for the gym. It brings me anxiety. I decided to start yoga instead, for lots of reasons, but changing my body in that way wasn't one of them. Instead it has helped me listen to my body, listen to my own needs, really feel my emotions and watch them pass, observe my thoughts and my breath. I started to feel strong and graceful due to how I was learning to move and use my body in yoga. One day I happened to look in the mirror and saw that I have guns💪! I found self love internally, as I hadn't changed physically, but I had grown to love the body I have.

I already watched this video twice, it’s so good! It’s really nice to hear your honest opinion, especially having gone through RYT in India. I started my yoga practice my senior year of high school and was pretty consistent until the stress of college settled in. I couldn’t deal with the soreness of my muscles and I constantly worried about the food I was putting into my body. Whether it would nourish me.. I have IBS so it’s a strange relationship with food. I have since taken a break from my practice and only practice here and there. But since then I’ve picked up dance! I do Hip Hop, Femme, Heels, and I’m learning Jazz fundamentals. It’s amazing the way it makes me feel and I know what you mean by staying in the present moment. Everything else is irrelevant. I notice while in dance class, I forget about the world even if 30 minutes ago I walked into class almost panicking. However as soon as I leave the studio, I am anxious once again. I think utilizing yoga would enable me to have more control over my anxiety and the mindset to overcome many more things. Plus the flexibility piece would help in any genre of dance I practice!! This video has really given me that kick in the butt. Thank you Amanda!! P.S. for beginners who need more guidance than just a self-guided flow, what can you recommend?
