from what ive learned since they added these, lawless gets more gold. its all based off how much trades are made in the grid through the markets. most ive made off a single tower is 72k a couple seasons ago. there will always only be 1 tax bank per grid that gives gold and itll always be the same

Pretty much, this wipe its a lot lower than the last one. But, yes one tower seems to get all the trades in a grid.

Just had my ship sunk but i upgraded to a brig this time and it was nearly sunk when the danned spawn on my front left and right and i didnt have time to turn arount so i had to go through them. This was the trip to get more crew -_-

I don't think it will, since the money appears to be generated from the trades. And single player is confirmed to not have trades.

@@invoke4937 Yeah, I got feedback on why single player can't, each grid is run by a server and it needs the server to be live to communicate the trade routes. On single player you load each grid as you go into it, so you only run 1 server at a time. They need to change something fundamental to allow it.

So I'm not sure if you can claim forts in PvE (I don't think you can), but if you were to do it in PvP wouldn't you just get all the gold via tax from the whole grid without destroying the bank? I'm also guessing the latest updates for the new Fort Island Structures with +15% global buffs to ship speed/resistance/damage don't actually apply to PvE?

Yes, my understanding was that PvP means you own the bank, and yeah PvE can’t own sea forts. I don’t PvE will get buffs from them at all.

I play on Xbox Series S but after playing for a while it happens to me that it stays on the loading screen and I can no longer enter the world, does anyone know how to solve this? I have already tried restarting the console but this only allows me to play for a few days and the same thing happens to me again

I just started yesterday now I'm level 18. How soon can I build a ship and how does that work?

You'll need to open up your skills and level into the seamanship tree. There you'll find skills to make shipyards. The basic one should be free. This will get you some cheap ships to start with.

it is always empty, so dunno how you get this, i have to make due with diving for 100 gold at a time.. to get 18000 is ... well painfull

Have you checked both banks? There are two in a grid and I found that only 1 of them gets the gold.

Also low level treasure maps can be really good. Basically run around an island a couple of times and collect every map you can. Some times you can get double ups for the same location. You then go to that spot with a bear and smash them out all at the same time and can get quite a nice amount.

Is that ship schooner? + what's the difference of the basic shipyard and the small shipyard?

Yes, this was a schooner. The basic only has very simple starter ships like the Cog, which are very small and cheap. Whereas the small allows for things like the sloop.

@@Chleosl The modular ships are usually faster, so the Cog. But the Sloop with be more able to be customised.

@@Chleosl Grab a sloop or cog, build a diving attachment to start and get some sunken treasure for gold. This will allow you to build the larger shipyards. The modular ships are very fast, like the Carrack and Broadsider, but they turn very bad at the moment. If you want good handling, the Brigantine is your best bet till they fix all the ships next month.

How do you park your boat reversed up to the dock?

You can press back while steering the boat and it will very slowly go in reverse

When i destoy the Bank with my Tame (no Cannons so far), the Bank will respawn instandly. Is this different with Cannons?

Yes, I get that too. It's on a timer, so the first time you break it, it instantly respawns. You then have about 1 minute before the next respawn counter is done. I tried with a bear but could not kill it fast enough to beat the timer, hence I was using cannons. You can try with multiple tames, or crew to see if you can kill the second bank before the timer is up.

Why didn't the towers attack your ship? Just seems a very unrealistic video situation.

If you don't hit the cannon towers, they don't fight back. You just have to be careful with how you fire to avoid splash damage.

@@sirmarcus7186 pretty much. But I think if you hit the central claim it triggers them. I haven't checked that. The claim is the more important part to PvP I suspect.

ive done this 10+ times and got 8 gold, 9 gold, 4 gold. nothing each time, so I stopped doing it.

Fair enough, it either means no one is trading or people are raiding it quite frequently

You only get 1 minute I think before the timer resets and another one spawns underneath

It will, but I always found 1 tower generates gold and the other does not. It also relies on people using their markets. Lastly if people have already raided it, it takes time to refill.

I'm not sure, I haven't played in such a long time. I'd expect that you can get gold, but I doubt it is the fastest now.

It hasn’t been working for me at all. I think there might be a bug atm. It gets destroyed and instantly respawns around 3 times before fully being destroyed. Then after all the work, no gold. 🤔👎

@@JustCIDER Could be the wrong sea fort. I found that one of the sea forts in my area made no gold, but the other one got it all.

I have to give your video a thumbs down, and this is why. That bone grinding music in the background might pump you up but it sure grinds on my nerves. Without the music I would have given you a thumbs up, but because I felt like I was being assaulted, and I found my viewing experience less than enjoyable I quickly moved on to other Atlas game play videos. Other than that the video was fine.
