Here's a tip, Ernest. Always use a jack to raise your suspension to ride height before tightening down your bushings. That way there is no stress on the bushings at normal ride height. If you torque it when the strut is extended, then when you set it down it will prematurely wear the bushings, and sometimes affect the actual ride height.

That little hose on the steering tie rod gaiter is to let air in and out of the gaiter. Think of the gaiter like an accordion, except when it compresses the air escapes out the ends, but when you expand it again there's no way for the air to refill the billows without the hose.

The vehicle pulling to one side is not usually a toe issue (misadjusted tie rod.) Toe only affects your steering wheel location and both tires will be toed in or out the same amount when driving down the road. It could be the mismatched tires or you have a caster or camber problem.

Fab vid, but a question doesn’t the lower arm need to be tightened to spec with the car down and the full weight on it otherwise it destroys the bushings in no time. I personally tighten them with the vehicle on the ground.

@RoadsideRescue4 жыл бұрын
the struts are fairly flexible. they mount on a rubber bushing lined mount and the whole spring thing allows them to pivot without breaking.
