Artist in the Ambulance. It's been such a trip watching them evolve. This album is really growing on me. My favorite work of theirs was in the Vheissu / Alchemy Index era because that felt like when they really broke free. Moving Mountains might me be favorite song of theirs. But it changes constantly. These guys are special. Hope you do a full album reaction to the new Sleep Token as well! 🤘✌️

Identity Crisis, but at first I was only listening to some of their songs as a 10 years old, then I listened to the artist in the ambulance in its entirety and they became my favorite band ever. At first I wasn't sure about this album to be honest, then on second listen it was obvious that this album bangs.

Vheissu for sure (unless I can pick the whole alchemy index). That era was peak thrice

as much as I loved the spiritbox, this album start to finish is amazing.. I was blown away.. thrice is top 5 band all time for me so I always look forward to their music. Northern Lights was probably my favorite track

I miss the days we didn't have to shade one band to shed light on another. Just a random musing, maybe.

Been a fan of the band for pretty much 20 years. This is definitely my favorite album by Thrice in the post-Beggars era. I'm with you, I'm absolutely in love with that ending part in Summer Set Fire To The Rain - it reminded me of something off Botch's We Are the Romans album. It's a sliver of hope, but I still hold out hope the band explores some heavier textures/sounds in the near future. On that note, I'd love to hear Eddie start recording some yelling/screaming parts on future albums. He's always great doing that at live shows.

This is far and away my favorite post-hiatus album. Still Life and Northern Lights are easy new all-time great songs, and the rest of the album except maybe one song ranges from at least pretty good to fantastic. I'm so happy with how this album turned out

Dandelion Wine is top tier, love the experimentation on this album!

This really felt like Thrice's stab at a blues/jazz-inspired album and I'm here for it. I think the problem with their singles on the last couple records is that Thrice isn't a singles band- you really gotta feel the vibe of the whole album and do it front-to-back. I also loved how your face at the start was very "I'm expecting to be disappointed," and then you found so much to be excited about.

Man I never completely dove into Thrice's disco but I have had this album on repeat the past few days. Might be time to finally dig into more of their older stuff once I spin this album a few more times

Dandelion Wine is an all-time Thrice track for me. It feels like a track taken from Beggars, and I love it.

I wasn't too keen at first, but on second listen I really enjoyed this album. Really liking the experimentation. The problem with Thrice is that since they're my favorite band ever, I always have over the top expectations which always make the first listen less satisfying to me personally.

Same man but some of their albums take some time to really digest. I find myself enjoying this album more and more after repeated listens
@adecakaship24863 жыл бұрын
@@METALBIRB Yeah exactly! To be honest it's been like that since the Alchemy index eps for me personally. The Fire one was the closest thing to older Thrice, so it was easier for me to digest, but the rest was really weird and new for what I came to expect from Thrice.

Just remember. Vheissu when it first came out was NOT well-received. Long-time Thrice fans were expecting TAITA 2.0, and they got Vheissu. Nowadays, most avid Thrice fans, including myself, would list Vheissu as their magnum opus and their favorite album. It's definitely mine. I think the streak of songs from For Miles all the way to Of Dust and Nations is one of, if not THE best song progression of any rock album ever. (For Miles, Hold Fast Hope, Music Box, Like Moths to Flame, Of Dust and Nations; my favorites being Hold Fast Hope, Like Moths to Flame, and Music Box.

You can find the set lists for their shows on their tour right now and it shows what tuning they're in for each song. Lots of drop D and drop C.

Thrice albums used to be great from start to finish. Modern thrice albums give me a few tracks that are great but the rest bores me

I think it's far and away their weakest album. They've done this level of soft, but better, multiple times since the Alchemy Index.
@newidenityguitarizt3 жыл бұрын
worst then palms? you crazy! hahaha
@sockwithaticket3 жыл бұрын
I quite like a good chunk of Palms, certainly more so than this album. I'm genuinely confused as to why sections of the fanbase seem to feel the way they do about both records. Horizons/East has taken over from Beggars as my least favourite.
@newidenityguitarizt3 жыл бұрын
I guess it's just difference in taste.. inloved my soul.. rest of that album just didn't do it for me.. but.. I think we can both agree we are just happy they are still together and making music and playing shows..
@sockwithaticket3 жыл бұрын
Oh of course, there are no absolutes when it comes to enjoying music. I don't think there's a more subjective thing in the world. And I'll take sub-par (in my opinion) Thrice ahead of a lot of bands' output.
@toni463 жыл бұрын
@@sockwithaticket Really? Beggars used to be your least favorite???? To each his own i guess....To me Beggars was their best album since Alchemy Index. Horizons/East is no exception.
