Look what they do to you Look what they do to me Must be joking if you think that either one is free, here Get up off your knees, girl Stand face to face with your God And find out what you are (Hello, my name is human) Hello, my name is human And I came down from the stars (Hello, my name is human) I'm ready for love, and I'm ready for war But I'm ready for more I know that nobody's ever been this fucking ready before, hey (Do you need some time to think it over?) So figure it out, or don't figure it out I figured it out The bigger the river (the bigger the river) The bigger the drought (the bigger the drought) Get up off your knees, boy Stand face to face with your God And find out what you are (Hello, my name is human) Hello, my name is human And I came down from the stars (Hello, my name is human) Fire world, I love you Fire world I'm up off my knees, girl I'm face to face with myself And I know who I am (Hello, my name is human) I stole the power from the sun I'm more than just a man (No longer disillusioned) I came down from the stars (so I'll take my chances) (And what are the chances) (That I could advance) (On my own circumstances) (Said what are the chances?) Hello, my name is human (and what are the chances) (I'm not asking questions) And I know who I am (so you keep your answers) (I'm not asking questions) (I'm taking my chances)

I feel like trout makes more sense honestly because it's not like bigger rivers are more likely to dry up or something. I mean it's not even like droughts are a thing that ever happens to many rivers outside of dry climates, so I can't see why it would make sense even if you meant "well, when it does eventually happen the drought would be bigger if enough water dissapeared from a big river". While bigger fish in a bigger habitat makes all kinds of sense. It's obviously not literal but the metaphor should still make sense, and as a metaphor the trout line could obviously have plenty of meaning based on the context so I don't really know why it would "turn anyone off" and "drought" fixed it for them. But anyway, are anyone even sure if it's supposed to be trout or drought? Because I'm sure you could hear both now if you try to listen for one or the other.

This song proves once again that a song doesn't have to be complex to be utterly fantastic. It's basically just 2 chords the entire way through, but damn if it isn't one of the sweetest sounding songs I've heard in awhile. If you couple a great vocal melody and a good rhythm with a simple chord progression, it can be much greater than the sum of its parts. Actually, musical complexity often (not always) comes at the expense of quality. There's rather often an inverse relationship. Simple yet well composed is the ticket

I don't think any songs are needed to prove what you are saying. 90% of all popular songs ever written are simple. There do exist more complex songs that use a wider range of musical elements which are also good on multiple levels and are to be admired by those who enjoy them. Both are good and neither denies that of the other. Unless its a toxic internet elitist troll (of which there are many lol).

This song is Amazing. "The bigger the river, the bigger the draught" reminds me of an Alan Watts lecture where he talks about the Chinese Taijitu getting bigger as a representation of becoming more successful. Just like the river lyric and the Taijitu, this is a true representation of the more you acquire, the more problems come with it. The Taijitu and river both continue to grow making both dual aspects one in the same.

I have a song that reminds me of a loved one who passed. My musician husband told me “When we attach a song to someone we no longer have, and that feeling every time we hear it, we have immortalized that person.” Maybe not to the rest of the world, but your mom didn’t mother the world, she mothered you. I hope you smile when hear this song.

I like your perceived way of thinking. I feel it means "don't be a bunny". "Get up off of your knees boys/girls". Being a Psychic Medium closely connected with Spirit and the Universe I feel this is the words of the song. "I know who I am".
@matthewmurray12592 жыл бұрын
@@psychicmediummariaroselue7300 "I'm up off my knees girl (A Robot). I'm face to face with myself( = A Robot). And I know who I am (A Robot) And I stole my power from the sun (Derives being "Rechared" as a way of being "Revived/Brought back to life") "I am more than just a man" (Transhumanism) "No longer Disillusioned" (Infers being happy with what once was thought of as before as a disappointment to self). The song itself (without application to the deeper context of its meaning) is fantastic. As long as people are able to listen to the music specifically, most songs are harmless, but when you search deeper for the "meaning". You can see that there's a dark and evil message. No disrespect to you, but I personally find it hard to believe that you would come away with its meaning being "Don't be a bunny". lol I think I'm perhaps, thinking too much, and you perhaps aren't thinking nearly enough. 🤓👌

At 65, this song will forever represent the day I stopped drowning in the guilt that 60 years of religion had burnt into my soul. Always questioning myself and their version of love one another when all I witnessed was hate for anyone who didn’t look like me or believed what I believed. Thing is, I NEVER believed that version of worth. I would go on to never enter that church again, freely loving all and opening my heart to all beliefs. I’m an old soul now and thankfully I discovered this before I leave this earth. Peace✌️

This song is really trippy to me personally. Guess it's about just really being yourself, believing in yourself. And not thinking you're just pathetic, beating yourself up mentally. In my own life, when I'm really happy, actually acting naturally, I talk really quickly, maybe sounds really strange to most ppl. Like Radiohead says, I talk in maths to some extent. And I maybe don't seem normal or human to others when I'm like this, in my real mode. (Btw met plenty of other ppl that are somewhat similar here. Like my mom has a lifelong friend; I grew up at least occasionally interacting with their kids. They're good ppl, esp the kids; wish I was closer to both of them (even despite the one ridiculing me at least once. He's bi and I get how he prob thought I was a dck. I don't hold any grudges here. He's been very good to me and my mom more recently also.) Anyway the one kid, more or less my peer now of course (he was a little younger than me, don't know my how much, doesn't matter now) was and perhaps prob still is like this. The first time I wound up unexpectedly seeing him as an adult, he was talking to his brother and other friends quickly about something of a technical nature (he was a math and chem major, so we have pretty similar interests there). I did mostly follow what he was talking about, but don't recall the details. Even as a kid, he was like me: was just happy, would talk a lot about anything. Remember him singing that "kiss me" song just out of the blue, no shame, nor should he feel it. (Ironically, you might think he would have wound up gay, rather than his brother, but he really is a lot like me I guess, even tho I don't feel I truly know him, unfortunately. Just being emotional, singing songs doesn't make you gay anyway, of course...but I think most ppl think in stereotypes like that) But anyway he's just like me there. Tho I can tell he kind of restrains himself, speaks very carefully around me, kind of saddens me. But yeah he too is like me here, I can tell. It's not just autism either. (Nothing wrong w that, just saying, I don't think that's it) but yeah sometimes this is, unfortunately, what it's like for smart people. They feel barely human, like they can't really relate to others. Usually, as in my case esp, I try to tone down how I am, spend a ton of energy just trying to sound and look normal. I lit grew up reading the dictionary; avoid using words I would naturally use, for example. Bc you grow up getting bullied, hide your grades to not make others feel lesser, and of course ppl hate on Will Hunting and math students/majors (really should have got an engineering degree, bc I was always just teaching myself math, far beyond the undergrad classes anyway; lit reverse imposter syndrome, as I was acting like I was new to the stuff in class when I wasn't. Really crazy stuff. Anyway I'd have a good job, could still pursue math in my spare time anyway)

IMO that's the only part of the song I didn't like. The instrumental was good, the lyrics were good, the melody and whatnot was all good, it's just his hipster accent that keeps me from really enjoying this song. But maybe that's just me.

Ike Moon ... Ok I'm not some 12 year twit fangirling. But wtf is a " hipster accent" you're referencing?

I love the song, musically gifted, and enjoy their lyrics, but they were one of the top 3 worst bands I've seen play live. So that could be a reason.

Nick D No way really? I saw them at the grammys and the performance was super cool and raw
@nickd28576 жыл бұрын
@@Metalheadaches yeah. The lead singer may have been drunk or on something. He looks like he gained some weight as well which is fine, but he could be dealing with some other issues causing it. He didnt treat the crowd well. Proceeded to call parents assholes who brought their kids with them(about 15% of the audience half kids there). And had the audience yell the F word even after asking if kids were there. Stayed for 5 songs to give them a chance, but I had to leave it was so bad. Many others walked away too before I did.

Damn that's not cool at all, if they want to do such things at least put an age restriction or something like that

@Дмитрий Годын and so do you. This is an anthem for the world as it really is, and two lovers on completely different sides of the spectrum. You either feel this song with every part of your being, or you dont get it at all.you have to have lived through certain life experiences and struggles and conflicts to even remotely "get" this song.

so does the satanist movement ..... check out the red demonic stare upward when he says .... i take my power from the sun. this is satanic worship. its so cool but its to lure you into singing a quite evil mantra.... i admit the look the siund the lyrics are incredible. and i dunno if the band know what the songs about or if its that they are just puppets .....
