Grew up on a farm. The daughter and granddaughter of a farmers hired men. We lived on the farm they farmed. The farmer retired and rented out the farm land before I was able to ever help out. Enjoy watching your videos. You are entertaining as well as informative. Thank you.

I love that use your grandfathers tools. It gives you a chance to reflect during the work day on the great people in your life. My grandpa's torch, great grandpa's anvil and dads hammer are worth more to me than every tool in my shop.

Your daughter melts my heart. Such a cutie. Last part of the video made me laugh. My kids all do the same thing... I use a very large PVC pipe to hold my grease guns. Each one has different greases in them...bearings, waterproof and regular grease. Finished attending the local fairs and seeing the traqctor pulls, now it's time to smell the harvesting. Love the beginning of Fall Season!

Harvest is the best time of the year, and prepping is exciting. The best part of this video was sharing about your grandpa's wrenches. I have some of my grandpa's tools and it really means something to have them with us in that way.

I remember when ya had to pull the sickle to change out the blades. Pounded in steel rivets. Kept a 1 foot section of railroad iron just for that purpose.

Being able to use some of your grandfather's tools is something to be proud of, some of my father's tools that I'm still using are 80+ years old. I remember them everytime I pull one out of the tool box. Used some of my dad's metric tool he bought in 1956 today.

Watching these videos take me back to when I was a little kid sitting in a John Deere with my uncle while he baled hay. They're part of the reason I'm 23, about to graduate college in December and trying to figure out a way to get into farming! Keep up the good work, can't wait for my first harvest with the channel!

I loved your story about your grandpa. I bought my grandpas 1987 N7 gleaner when I was 16 to custom cut with my dad. Its old, and not the fastest in the field, but the memories are irreplaceable!

Got to be better than the old riveted ones though from BMT (Before My Time) like on the ancient Claas Matador my dad used to run when he grew some crops as well as well as having animals and before my grandad built a straw stack around it before my dad drained the water out of it. Had to change them on my course nearly 15 years ago on an equally ancient JD combine. Moral of the story always stick coolant/antifreeze in the cooling system and get any leak fixed rather than just dumping water in it to save a few quid

Its nice seeing you explain the preparations of your equipment prior to harvest. It is making my childhood make a lot more sense, as I spent a lot of time growing up on my grandparents farm, and they had a lot of John Deere Green.

I liked the part about your grandpa's tools. After both of my grandpa's past I got a chance to buy one of each of their tractors.(1950 case sc & 1954 moline ZB) Always brings back memories when I work on them.

I love working with some of my grandpas old tools. I have a few jack and block planes that are some of my most prized possessions. I'm in my 20s but I defiantly want to make sure I pass my tools down to my kids and grandkids one day so that they can get the same enjoyment out of using them that I did.

I laughed when saw you open the box with the chainsaw. By looking at the cut into the outer box, you were very close to actually cutting the inner box. Of course I also noted the full use of PPE. But loved the sense of humor :) It is so great to see you involve the kids and get them involved. Yes I know it slows down the job... But, nothing ever can beat the sound of children laughing and happy!!
