Getting to Heidelberg by Tram - Visiting the Castle (Schloss)

Hello Hoppers! Above the romantic city of Heidelberg stands the Castle or Schloss, one of the most visited castle ruins in Germany. In this video I show you How to Get to Heidelberg from Weinheim or Mannheim by Tram, and once there, How to Get to the Castle. I give you info about different ways of going up the mountain to the castle, buying tickets, and the different places you can visit on the way. Once at this beautiful Schloss I show you around the ruins, the courtyard, and the gardens. In my next video I will show you my visit to the Pharmacy Museum and to the Wine Cellar, where I discovered a big, big surprise.

I served in the US Army in Heidelberg from 1981 to 1984. Beautiful town, highly recommended. Being Army, I always walked up.

What was your MOS? My dad was the guy who got to repair the dish at the top of that hill: Konigsstuhl! 1979-1980. He retired in 1988.

Me ha encantado tu vídeo! En un par de meses voy para Alemania y probablemente visite Heidelberg, entonces te tenía unas preguntitas :) Cuando llego a la recepción, si quiero subir a la tercera estación debo pagar los 12 euros de una vez ahí? Y qué tal te parece la cafetería del lugar?

+Liz Abgj hola! Si, compras la entrada hasta la tercera estación en recepción. No estoy 100% segura pero creo haber visto en la segunda estación la posibilidad de pagar hasta la tercera estación también, pero como no la compré no estoy segura. La cafeteria era algo normalito. No tomé nada pero al ser al air libre y en un día de sol puede ser muy agradable. Espero haber contestado tus preguntas. Disfruta mucho de tu viaje y gracias por pasar por mi canal. Saludos XXX
