Snow like that stopped my 03 Eiger last winter. 13" of the heaviest snow you could imagine. Same thing as how you started out. It'd move about 10-15' and then just get stuck. Even backing up and slamming the snow wouldn't budge the piles. I ended up snowblowing some paths so I could get speed up and maintain momentum. I have similar property to yours and it took me about 5 hours (with a small break in between) to finish clearing all the snow. When the snow doesn't clear off the blade I sometimes steer left and right quickly to move the snow to the side. Lubing the plow blade with some used motor oil or other spray lubricant also helps the wet stuff from sticking too much. I've learned that if at all possible, this is the type of snow to plow with the storm if at all possible. Probably would have been good to hit it with the plow that night, even if just doing the long gravel stretch.

I did that move left and right, I was beginning to wonder if I'd get the job done. lol Yes I wish I set my alarm to wake up and plow before the rain. This has happened twice in 2 years

I would have been out in the night before the rain the only be a small amount of wet

Hi Roland. I really enjoy watching your videos on plowing snow. I have learned alot from watching them. I bought my 2022 Suzuki King Quad 400 2 years ago because I saw what you were able to plow with your Suzuki Eiger. Thanks again. Glenn Cupler White Lake, Michigan.

When it snows like that I plow and shovel during the storm to keep ahead of it.

I like to as well but I'm not staying up all night

Can tell when it is really wet and heavy. The snow doesn't roll off the blade. You watch the first half of the video where he was having some issues vs the second half when it had stopped raining. He made good adjustments and got through it. I was a little worried when he was driving fast about blade catching and swinging him around. He said he knows to watch for that. My driveway isn't long enough for me to go too fast lol.

It was heavy, did you see it pushing under the snow in front of the blade. Worst snow I ever moved.

With this kind of work, I wonder why I don't see more people using ATV's on residential areas. It seems like a better idea to invest in an ATV than those specialty machines that cost way more.

Ive been shoveling and plowing with my ATV for 6 days now after last weeks nor easter here in Colorado. Still got close to half mile to go:( My area got an average of 36" with serious drifting. The county road/mud track that is plowed, is just over a mile away over hills, down through a valley. Ive been stuck many times this past week. I wasn't able to shovel or plow during the storm here because of the high winds and white out conditions. On a 100' hill, My ATV went down the hill fine, but took me 2 hours to shovel my way back up the 45 - 50 degree slope. Im ready for Summer!.

Great video. What are you using for battery. Curious bc i got a kawi 750 bf 2024 with 60inch plow and 2500 w winch...was super stupid with my lack of understanding of the battery draw. 300 ft x14 driveway so hoping it will be able to handle that and my 50x50 pad up top and 70 ft x12 fromt and back concrete walkway in middle of Mass.

You need to put about 4 coats of PAM on that blade. The snow will slide right off, and you'll be cruising!

How about CVT transmission? Would you prefer a traditional semi automatic?
@GettingItDoneRepairs10 ай бұрын
I'm not sure yet, the cvt is actually working out fine. Maybe I will be able to answer that question better after more usage. Right now I'm pleasantly surprised

plow more often during the storm wouldve been easier then waiting til its all over and you have alot to push

Obviously yes, but I didn't set an alarm or wake up at 1am. Plus I wouldn't have had a cool video lol
