This is what happens when you try to buy the affection of your significant other children. That girl has always been nasty so I don't understand what he's talking about when he said that she's changed, no she's actually showing you her true side because you're not financially supporting her. This man should be glad he never married this girl's mother. He had already been stupid in the past 10 years but he did make smart move to not marry this woman.

S1. OP, are you sure Sara doesn't meet her father regularly? They are still together as a family. Lisa, with David, is planning and sending Lisa to sleep with you so you can raise and monetarily support Sara and Lisa (and even David). There are people like this.

She got it easy hav OP wallets to pay bills and support her daughter... without asking bio dad to step up... They liked him coz he got easy since you were paying for everything.. Tragically a lot of people tend to crave the affection and attention of the people that make them work for it while taking the people that give it freely for granted. I don’t really see why, it seems insane to me. In my eyes if they wanna walk off let them, I don’t need the extra exercise I get enough of that in my job! The people who are actually happy to be there with me, those are the ones I treasure!

The one thought I had was that canceling everything would probably ruin/end the wedding because they may not be able to arrange new venue/catering/etc. I understand him pulling out of the wedding, but ruining it is a bit excessive I think, so it would have been better to coordinate passing the bills over to David. Though to be fair, David probably wouldn't step up and put stuff on his own card, so it would probably end up the same anyway.

You can't buy love and Sarah showed years ago that she would never respect OP. And really towards the end Op was trying to excuse it by saying Sarah had changed, what an idiot. Sarah did not change, Sarah was always this kind of person, OP was just to blind to pick up on it. Also I'm guessing that Sarah's mother was still banging dad all this time and used OP to pay the bills. In the end they moved to another state, I wonder if they took Dave along.

At the beginning of the story he said they live together but they will never marry!! I don't understand how you can feel bad once you knew how they were treating you you knew you were always the ATM Lisa never worked and Sarah always just wanted wanted what you gave gave so when you backed out of the wedding that that you would be paying for in total, then they going to try to gaslight you and make you feel bad I don't even know why you thought twice about it once you told him to get out you should have closed the door and closed that chapter it would have been easy once you said I'm out I'm not paying for anything you're on your own that was the end of it you could have changed your number and as far as the letter you could have put it back in the envelope and mailed it back to him but right you said they didn't have no return address so you did the right thing throw it in the trash!! As far as her father calling you which was totally out of line you were way too nice talking about come on dude we're family when did y'all become family as long as you were taking care of raising his child sending us to college buying her cars and doing any and everything you can to make her happy!!
