BRUHHH I went back and WATCHED the slow camera pan as the Astro Bot developers were going up to accept the GOTY award and I SAW EXACTLY what you were talking about. Right down in the bottom-right corner-while I can’t read his mind, he LOOKS LIKE he’s trying his best to put on a neutral expression so that he doesn’t appear PISSED.

I guess this show shuts that ENTIRE idiotic “lol, PlayStation has no games in 2024” narrative TF down. And IF you TRULY believe this still, you must either have an incredibly specific NARROW taste in games which would be difficult for ANY PLATFORM to adequately satisfy or you’re unwilling to recognize-if you truly BELIEVE 2024 was a bad year for PlayStation-that all the other platforms had an EVEN WORSE 2024, comparatively.

I've notice even the many PC and Xbox fans I've ran acroos in person have horrible character, lie a lot, can't be trusted and some I've met even claim PS hardware is too expensive and ppl should buy PC instead.

Astro Bot winning is AMAZING and HILARIOUS just for the sheer amounts of salt and copium it’s going to generate. 🤣 Personally, I kinda wanted FFVII Rebirth or Black Myth: Wukong to WIN, but whatever, I’ll take Astro Bot. It was definitely one of the most enjoyable releases of this year that I played.

Jez is 100% right about AstroBot at 1:07:48. Much like Hi-Fi Rush, AstroBot was a stealth drop, revealed just 3 months before release, and it quickly became one of the best games of the year, and it had some pretty steep competition. If I remember correctly; Hi-Fi Rush was stealth dropped a week before the Game Awards, which killed any chance of it potentially getting nominated for GOTY. Team Asobi & Arrowhead were smart when it came to AstroBot & Helldivers 2, AstroBot dropped in September while Helldivers 2 released in March, but both games continuously got free updates leading all the way up to the Game Awards, keeping both games fresh in everyone's minds, whereas Black Myth Wukong & FF7 Rebirth didn't add any extra content, and Metaphor releasing just a month before the Game Awards meant it was fresh in everyone's minds, it probably didn't give enough people the chance to play and finish it.

Hi-Fi Rush didn’t even have a “marketing lead-up.” It LITERALLY was ANNOUNCED and SHOWN in that January 2023 Xbox Developer Direct and then at the end of the video presentation, they were basically just like, “oh, and if you have Game Pass, you can go ahead and download it right now TODAY.”

@@JP_Loco_93 Nah, unless I’m have a complete memory episode also, I’m like 95% sure it dropped in January 2023 after being announced and shown in the Xbox Developer Direct. I REMEMBER THIS, mostly because it had a complete “surprise launch” only days AFTER Forspoken dropped on PS5 and a lot of these f-boys that didn’t even play Hi-Fi Rush were hyping TF out of it simply to use it as stupid “console war ammunition.”

Honestly with how often Xbox Fanboys bring up Concord, you'd think they were upset that they can no longer play it, I mean if they thought Redfall was a good game, they would definitely love Concord, Xbox Fanboys tend to like trash. If someone brings up Concord, just remind them of Redfall, Bleeding Edge, Pentiment, Battletoads, Project Spark, Minecraft Dungeons, Minecraft Legends and Towerborne, and tell them "For every ONE dud PlayStation has. Xbox has SEVERAL duds".
