Thank you so much for taking the time to put these guides together, I can’t tell you how helpful they’ve been to in terms of learning the game. I’ve been a fan of the GG series since I was in middle school and first picked up XX#R, almost two decades ago, but I never really took the time to learn fundamentals of fighting games, which is something I’m trying to do now, at age 32. Also, I love your series of video essays on fighting games in general, they’re fascinating, and really inspirational in terms of my own videos that I’ve been working on. Are you planning to continue this series? I noticed that it’s been a few months; I hope that everything is going okay. Take care, and thank you again!

Love the vid, gamer. I would recommend using gameplay footage that is unmodded if possible, but it's not a big deal. Also it would be nice to include numpad notation on the move section, because not everyone knows the move names. Like 214k: Sepultra. Thank you for keeping these character guides going!

Bit of information you missed, 6H and 6HH are special and super cancellable (that is, into her one air special and one air super). So even though it's not great in neutral, IF you get a 5K > 6H on block you have a 3 layer rekka between the actual followups, the two points of cancelling into j214S or super, and RC.

Also! The safejump at the centre of her gameplan: otg c.S into IAD jH, super easy and a great tool for new players to learn safejumps. And can be done after landing crossup jK > j214S

Absolutely, I plan to make it through all the characters but as I mentioned in the vid I’m doing DLC after all of the base roster in order to keep the roster order clean

Are dash cancels actually practical since you have to wait for the entire thing to finish? I guess I've never actually tried it in a match because in training mode it simply doesn't beat any reversal option opponents want to use so I don't really want to take the risk

It’s hard to react to so if you threaten delayed gatlings it can be a good option. It’s pretty easy to react to it with a throw tech, but if you do the dash cancel then cancel that dash into a backdash you can bait the throw tech for a big punish. Think of it like Anji’s hop after fujin.

You need to condition your opponent for it to be effective. Think of it is a part of her pressure game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. Say you get them into a knockdown and you meaty with c.S They're now in your strike throw mixup/RPS. If they like to mash or fuzzy jump, you frame trap or delay frame trap. If they respect you and just block or block FD, the dash cancel will allow you to restart pressure or throw. If they try to reversal your gaps, you can try to stop them by using the dash cancel after c.S to do a BRC mixup or just get out of the way with backdash for a fat punish. The dash cancel also allows you to do stagger pressure like 2K dash 2K which staggers and catches all 3f if you do it exactly right and cheeky stuff like c.S, dash 5K throw when they're starting to consider all the options you're throwing at them.
