Attach the external viewfinder right of center over the shutter button, then come back over center so eyepiece is mounted correctly and not all dangle Sargent dangle off the edge

Why is it that cage MFG's don't make cages for using the camera WITH the battery grip attached? Also, why do many of them add feet/shoes that raise it like its on stilts? It make the camera unstable and more prone to movement. The GH5s does not have IBS so anything that makes it worse is a pain. Also, not one MFG, at this time, as I know, makes a very small matte box for the smaller form factor like the GH5.

Hi everyone! I can't figure out one thing about follow focus. People buy Nuclear Nano motors, Tilta follow focus systems etc. Why no one makes just a knob, that can be plugged into GH5 micro usb port? So that focusing is controlled by that knob. I am talking about lenses with their own motors like popular Sigma 18-35. My Moza Aircross 2 has a knob that can control GH5's focusing. Please someone just produce that KNOB!

Also as a suggestion you could find a continuous battery for the GH5 so you don't have to swap out battery's.

This is great Tom! I bought a rail mount from SmallRig and it makes my GH5 wobble quite a bit when I adjust focus - I'm hoping that the CAME GH5 cage helps this! :-)

Great video! Question - how did you use a matte box and follow focus with the SLR magic anamorphic lens, doesn’t the lens move in and out when focusing? I’m trying to do the same....THANKS!

Brian Kelsey Thnx. I use a rubber sock on the mattebox thst moves with the lens front and the follow focus i use has wide gears so as the lens front moves it still makes contact with the follow focus

Michael Walsh it's the 15mm rails setup for monitor and accessories. You just take off the 15mm rail bracket and use just the arm. The link to where you can buy it is in the description of the video... plus the links to all the other things I showed.

how does the follow focus attach to the small gears of the m43 lenses? you use some gear adapter?

Mop Krayz no I don't use the follow focus with this lens. I just happened to have that lens on. you could still use follow focus by putting a gear ring on it but then again it's an electric servo lens so it will never work well with follow focus.

I've been using the small versaframe with my gh4 for about a year now and it's brilliant. They have released more form fitting cages since then but the one I've got still does exactly what I need.

Kasper Nørgaard the image stabilization is slightly better on mk2 but I don't think it's worth the extra $ I would just advise you get the mk1 while you still can.

Kasper Nørgaard yeah the AF won't work so with that combo you won't be able to take photos well but otherwise for video where you manually focus it will give you a shallower dof and extra stop of light so it's a nice combo. Thats why I own two the speedbooster combo and the lumix Vario lens

A lot of people are picky with what videos they watch when it comes to camera channels because not everyone is interested in every piece of gear he covers, I'm here because I am looking for a cage but someone who owns a blackmagic cinema camera wouldn't want to watch this.

I Am Nerd ? Just my observation that he is reviewing the same cage twice already. He devotes a lot of time to CAME-TV products and maybe people aren't watching because they aren't interested in more CAME-TV reviews. I know I'd like to hear about others. Just a thought.
