Specs can be read anywhere. I would rather have seen the rubber hit the road actually comparing the cameras in real world usage. Looking at footage out of camera tells us a lot more than specs provided by the manufacturer. For example, Panasonic has been talking up how great its AF is for a few years now, and yet the reality usually doesn’t match their marketing. How about testing it against the other Panasonics, including their best AF cameras - the G9 and S5? That would be way more informative than talking specs. Actually testing reliability of live streaming is better than telling us it does it. Etc.

That's definitely a really great idea. But with the restrictions we have here in Australia and the stock at hand with Panasonic in this case, that's not entirely possible. But we'll definitely try our best to apply that to future videos.

I like your reasoning and that impressed me a lot. Could I seek your opinion on which camera should I buy between Panasonic GH5M2 and Fujifilm X-T4? I could not afford them to buy all and therefore I want to get the best out of them. Thank you!

@@MrNyuntshwe Only you know what uses you will be putting the camera to, but generally speaking the GH5 M2 is better for anyone wanting to make video, and the Fuji is well liked by more casual street photographers. Fuji AF has a reputation for unreliability in video, but my biggest concern is lens selection. Fuji, until recently was the forgotten mount, with few choices. MFT, and Sony are the best in that regard. More recently more manufacturers are offering products for Fuji mount, but it still lags compared to other systems. In summary, Fuji is well liked in the enthusiast segment, especially by those who are casual photographers. The GH5 M2 is a much more serious camera for those who need loads of features and lots of lens choices. Everyone has different needs. For me the stop motion animation support, exceptional black and white, 10 bit video choices, C4K choices, and anamorphic lens support mean that the GH5 would be the only choice. Your needs may mean the Fuji is perfect for you. Only you can decide these things. The starting point for any camera decision is to work out what your needs are now, and likely to be in future. Once you work that out, the choice of camera becomes easier as you match the camera to your needs.

I have the GH5 ii, I also have two GH5s. One of my favourite features of the GH5 ii, is the USB powering. I power my GH5s with USB batteries but I have to use a dummy battery. The GH5 ii can be powered by USB but it does not require a dummy battery. All you need is a USB-C cable and a USB power bank (with adequate power). The big advantage of this system is that if your USB battery goes flat or gets disconnected the camera will keep on recording seamlessly.

Можно ли в режиме ручного фокуса, увеличить изображение на дисплее, что бы проверить точность фокуса? Именно во время записи, как у камер Sony? Panasonic имеет помощь при ручной фокусировке, но как только мы нажимаем кнопку Rec, функция становится недоступной. В новой модели появилась возможность уточнить фокус во время записи посредством увеличения изображения на дисплее или касаясь экрана пальцами или назначаемой кнопкой? В инструкции, что я скачал, нет точного толкования. Только у практика можно узнать. Спасибо.

It’s always the people that don’t create content, themselves, that are so quick to criticize and make claims...have you used the GH5 II? So I purchased a GH5 II with my own money and used it for a vlog and it performed amazingly. AF performance was more than adequate. Super happy with it.
