With the GH5 you're right about it being bad in low light generally speaking but I've found if you use a good 12mm or 25mm lens ( 24mm and 50mm FF) with an f/1.4 aperture you get much better results in low light than with the standard kit zoom lens f3.5-5.6 which is useless, that said the answer to your and my problem with the low light issue is to buy the new GH6 which seems to have solved this issue and the constant autofocus too, just at the moment it's an expensive upgrade unless you have deep pockets which I sadly don't. No, it shouldn’t. You may need to toggle the menu options if you have trouble with it

Actually GH5 has 400+800 native ISO. And I think it also has a stereo mike, not mono. Try the holes on either side of the logo in front.

Great video and great info buddy. I think for the GH5 you can get a non Panasonic AC power easily from Amazon shipped in few days if not on prime . Also if I am not mistaken my GH5 gives me an option to send 4K 30fps for Live streaming. I have the latest firmware though.

What about using lenses that have autofocus?

Lenses don’t have brains, so you still need a camera with tracking AF as a feature

@@ProfitandPixels How about straight autofocus? For me, tracking is a no go cause I'm shooting cars and such. Even AF isn't a big deal cause we are a dirt track and sometimes it gets quite dusty and that becomes a real mess.

The latency is the same as any other HDMI camera, very minimal. And yes, you can use any of the available frame rates over HDMI, but they are all 1080p or lower just FYI!

Nice video... but... GH5 has 4k 60P 10 bits HDMI out, stereo mic, optional(400,00 $) full XLR module, 12 stop DR( not 13 :/)

Forgive my ignorance about the 4K60p 10-bit output, I just confirmed that yes, you are right. I never shoot in NTSC mode on mine, which is why I've never seen that option. Mic might be stereo, but it's still bad. XLR module is overpriced. I misspoke on the DR, but it's semantics - the GH5 is not good in low light situations. I'd consider updating this video, but the market has changed a lot in 4 years!
