So I’ve been wanting a micro skiff , the gheenoe Lt 25 is like my dream boat but it’s way! Out of my pocket , so I figured ha, build my own looked around for a while and came across an 11’ ft fiberglass three seat V hull it needs the transom replaced , and ya I’m going to revamp it with a bow casting platform and I’m still undecided as to remove the center seat as it is dry storage, it has pretty much the same hull shape as the gheenoe but shorter, and I only paid $250 bucks for the boat and galvanized trailer( *needs lights and a winch ) I’ll probably sink another $800 between fixing it up and a small used motor ( hopefully) but ya did great job redoing yours , nice set up !👊🏼👍

Those LT25s are awesome! I decided on removing the center storage because I’m a clutz and I tripped over it all the time.

@@FloridaMan-Fishing are the LT’s tippy standing on a poling platform, the transom on my little skiff is 47” inches wide , and how tall are the poling platforms from the gunnel ?

Hi. I love what you did to your Gheenoe. I own a 15'4" and it came with a Mercury 9.9HP motor, but it is giving me so many problems. Thus, i have been thinking to change to a 2.5HP so i am glad you have one to ask. How is displacement and getting around with that little motor? I am not looking for speed, but reliability and warranty. Thoughts? Thanks.

That is almost my exact situation. I had an older 6hp but a store was selling those for $600 so I jumped on it. I don’t plane out, but I get to where I need to and a couple gallons of gas will keep me fishing all day.

Looks like you did a good job but instead of using plywood I would have used A composite material. You get all your strength from the fiberglass not what you build it with .You just added a bunch of weight to your boat, but it does look good

I paid $577. In hindsight, I would have paid a little more for a 5hp.

I’m too much of a wimp. A mile or two is as far as I go out.
