We are American not Persian but I have many Iranian friends and we have loved this dish for decades! Our kids who are now in their 20’s ask me to make this every year for their birthday dinner and I have tried in vain to make it like Persians do without success! I have decided to try again using this recipe which includes something I have never done before! It’s been slowly cooking for the past 7 hours and I just tasted it…. OMG! I’ve finally done it using this video and It’s amazing! In the past, whenever I fry the herbs (I usually just use dried Gormeh Sabzi herbs reconstituted in water) I have put olive oil in the pan and then added the herbs… When I watched you fry the herbs, you didn’t add oil until about 15 minutes after putting them in the frying pan! Doing it this way has made all the difference in the world! That spectacular taste has finally come through! My kids are going to be ecstatic! Khelli mammon!!
