That is a great bit of history with some amazing views. My favorite is approaching the canyon overlook of the Salt Lake valley. Imagine the settlers just approaching the valley.

Another trick was to drill a series of holes, connected together with a water groove. They would drive wood plugs into each hole then run water through the grooves. As the wood plugs soaked up water they swelled and split the block.

Jeanne M. Uzar it was a fun day, but the older we get the harder this little Walks are. But we are undaunted! When all else fails there's always the model railroad, requires a lot less walking around

Como does have a narrow gauge steam engine. I believe it was hauled south from the Yukon. The challenge is to be there on the ONE day each year when they roll it out.

@ToyManTelevision
@ToyManTelevision 7 жыл бұрын
Rick Hanzlik it's right at the mouth of the canyon. Not sure the name of the road but there's a road that continues to the south off the road that goes up to the Canyon and right there at that intersection is a small paved road that goes up to the parking lot
@ptdave123

if you click on this link it will show the small parking lot south to the south of the main road going up the canyon. go east to the end of the parking lot and you will find the dirt trail that he talks about walking up. there are many things you can see on the goople map area. www.google.com/maps/@40.5720532,-111.7741681,215m/data=!3m1!1e3 Rick Hanzlik, you may need to copy and paste this link

No track left in the canyon. A small piece relaid in Midvale. About 100 feet. Originally the track connected with the D and RGW at Sandy Somewhere near the smelter that’s no longer there. But about 90th south and I15

Really now. You honestly believe the rocks where actually roughly cut that way over years? With the current narrative in the late 1800s coming fresh off the wagons. Limited population limited supplies along with the elements and food. Now how many stones are in the temple alone? And this happened over how many years? Lol.... we inherited those buildings from previous individuals. The skills and technical experience and knowledge that went into the construction of old world buildings we did not posses in the days of pioneers. Look at the narrative given and then use critical thinking and tell me you don't see holes in the history of our western states and there establishments. It's all a big lie. Have a wonderful day my friend and get woke!

Woke? Anyway my Great Great Grandfather was architect and yes, these guys knew how to build this. Experts. But humans have been building out of stone for 4000 years.
