A lot of younger people have no idea how long we've waited for this. I saw "Ghostbusters II" in the theater when I was seven years old and grew up watching both movies and the cartoon in the 1980s. I ate the cereal. I had the toys. We all did. Over the last 32 years, the internet would pop up a story about "Ghostbusters III" every year or two. It was always wishful thinking. You'd get the occasional interview with Bill Murray saying it's all "talk." You'd hear this and that. It's been that way for decades. Now - in less than two weeks - it finally happens. This is a huge deal: this is "Ghostbusters III."

We all know why he teared up when the clip of the three familiar suits flashed by. Harold Ramis, now passed on, was a hero to all the 80's kids. Especially boys who had to wear glasses everyday and still manage to fit in with the cool kid's. Through the character of Egon Spengler, Ramis proved that even the certifiable nerds were capable of having big fun and being awesome in their own unique way! Always a part of the team in the movie and in real life, he will be missed. But, the humor and good vibes he left us will never die. Especially as long as there are scared kids who continue to take courage from a tall guy with big hair and round glasses sporting the "tools and the talent" to put away their fears. This next film looks great.. hats off to the whole crew and producer's. Thanks for all the memories and all the laughs.....Again!

@@chadditz I took a 2nd look in slow-motion and sure enough you're correct. Even if he's slightly out of frame and the lighting is dim on that particular shot, 3 wands are definitely visible. He could make you really believe some rough stuff was gonna go down. ....Stuff that will turn you white!

All the Afterlife trailers give me goosebumps. I was born about a week before the first movie hit cinemas. My dad can tell ya, every time commercials for anything Ghostbusters came on TV in that first week I went bonkers over it. My parents took me to see it at less than 2 weeks old and I loved it! As I got a little older and watched RGB Slimer ended up being my imaginary friend. When EGB was on the air I made a point of watching every episode on its original air date. Now I'm 37, I have a proton pack, a whole bunch of GB stuff in my collection (I have the original Kenner release Stay Puft from when I was a kid still, and there's a really cool story to it). I'm just as crazy over all things ghostbusters (good and bad) as I was in that first week. Talk about being born to wear this stuff!

I understand the emotional response. I had something similar putting together the Mattel Origins castle Grayskull a few weeks ago, that was recently released. I only had part of one as a kid from a thrift store, but got a She-Ra castle during a birthday or Christmas one year when I was little back in the 80's. Putting together the new Grayskull gave me flashbacks from childhood and I started crying from the combination of flash backs and feeling that simple joy and wonder that isn't as easy to come by now (which I was not expecting!). I think this sort of stuff is hitting a lot of us hard with where the world is at, and so many things sucking so bad. Most of us are missing the times when things were more simple, and more hopeful than they feel right now.
