I personally really enjoyed the film for it's new tech, new lore, and character interactions but I won't deny that it doesn't give equal time to each character and is very wordy. It's definitely a film that's more fun than thought out and that is it's biggest weakness but it still is fun and inquisitory too which is what I like best about ghostbusters albeit I was disappointed buy the lack of busting in the film. It's sad to hear that not everyone got what they wanted out of frozen empire and I too don't have the highest opinion on it despite enjoying it. I really hope that if they make another ghostbusters film that it can be the slam dunk we're all hoping for. 6/10 👻

I am not the biggest Ghostbusters fan but I enjoyed the movie well enough, even if it was a bit messy. The inclusion of the OG cast mixed with the new cast worked well and there was enough horror elements and comedic jokes that worked for me to walk out having had a good time.

There are so many problems with the writing/story in this film. So much just doesn't make any sense, and it is internally inconsistent and contradictory. Granted, Afterlife suffered from bigger story problems, so I guess this is an improvement, even though I don't really think the firebender angle was necessary.

As a long time fan it pains me to say this but I have to be honest; Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is a huge disappointment. The film is a mess. It's boring, poorly paced, confusing, convoluted and overly complicated. Too many characters, many of which have been needlessly shoehorned into the story. It's overstuffed with unnecessary dialogue, subplots, characters and scenes which go on for far too long. It's not funny either. I didn't laugh once during the movie, and neither did the audience I was watching it with. Neither is it scary. Laughs and scares are the two things you expect from a Ghostbusters film but this film doesn't provide any. Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan may be talented directors, but they're the wrong people to be writing these films. With a heavy heart, I rate this film 3 out of 10. I feel a lot of fans are in denial about just how bad this film is.

Personality I think we need more "meh" movies. The big issue with modern blockbusters is they have no middle ground. They're either awesome or total trash. Unfortunately too many are falling into the trash pile. They're pumping out cheap cash grabs one after another. This Ghostbusters was definitely not anywhere near a 10/10 but it was made by people that actually care about the brand and is fun.
