I've caught people from other teams sniping next to each other before. Happens more often with people who aren't as good at this game (like people my level), but still happens to everyone to some degree.Your brain doesn't process all the information it takes in consciously, so you often make assumptions that are typically reasonable. Such as: This guy has been running right next to me and has not been attacking me, thus he's on my team.

This has been my question for years. When a 2-shot kill weapon hits an enemy at both legs at the same time with one bullet, will the weapon will be a 1-shot kill weapon at this situation?

Nope, even if it goes through both legs it counts as one shot

A shot will only register a hit on an enemy once per enemy. Otherwise every gun would be a one shot kill by registering a whole lotta times with each shot as it passed through the enemy.

Never. Once the hitscan ("bullet") hits a hitbox, the hit registers and the "bullet" disappears.

***** That is not true CaperRee... It is coded so that the bullet only counts once. the bullet does not disappear. You can shoot one person and hit the person behind them with the same bullet.

Also guys, something to keep in mind... even though the hitboxes on the ghillie suit are the same as the normal character models, you are still VISUALLY larger. Aside from generally being easier to spot while moving, this is even more noticeable when you are being seen through thermal or tracker sights. You become obnoxiously massive in a ghillie suit through a thermal or tracker scope, and even though someone may be shooting at parts of your body that don't have hitboxes, they are still more likely to become aware of your presence.

Hopefully you got my KZbin message but just in case you didn't, here's a repeat. Basicly I discovered that you can also Prone strafe with the Thermal Hybrid optic, Not just the Tracker Sight. I'd say every model has some advantages and disadvantages: -Female: Very slightly skinnier (visually, not mechanically) but probably somewhat easier for people to get headshots on, especially if blonde and not wearing a hat/helmet, also because of general head size:body size ratio (psychology then it makes it easier to pick out and aim for). -Male with bulky gear: Easier to see in a general sense but more likely to have gear that breaks up their outline and acts as a sort of camo e.g. kneepads break up the shape of the leg; head appears smaller relative to body + gear and may make it psychologically more difficult to aim for. -Ghillie suit: Similar to above in that it blends into environments but makes the model bulkier (again just visually, not hitbox-wise as shown here) and possibly able to be seen around a corner when another wouldn't be. -"Civilian" clothes (Federation standard, PMC hats): Blend into urban environments pretty well especially when they aren't heavily textured, e.g. concrete walls. -Ghillie: Blends into natural environments and foliage. -Conventional camo/heavy gear: Blends into anything with lots of texture if you're lucky enough for colors to match, or that has streaks of shadow across it. So yeah I'd say the choices are balanced well and the decision to go with one hitbox model for everyone was a good one. Also the size difference between the female and male model is *very* negligible: If anyone has played Blacklight: Retribution *there's* an example of a female model being so much smaller (visually) that it's an advantage to use. Ghosts, not so much.

You summed that up very well. Gears 3 had that issue as well. The female characters had much smaller hitboxes and so everyone used them for that reason. I like the idea of female models as long as they are balanced. For example if they have to have smaller hitboxes for modelling reasons then they should have slightly less health to compensate. Just an example and overall I think female characters are a good idea :3

The Puncakian thats the main reason he uses thermal, call of duty tends to use quite striking colours in the thermal sight which makes it easier for the likes of him to see ( driftor isnt completely colour blind, he knows all colours, but just not as easy

So make your character as big as possible to trick enemies into shooting parts that aren't hitboxes

psychologically the sasquatch looks much easier to hit compared to a female character in all tight equipment. someone who's aiming at a sasquatch will feel a lot more confident than a thin female and confidence is important in CoD, so that's something important to think about too. Plus, you can also see a Sasquatch for longer when they're running around corners and you can see them easier when they're hiding in places they don't blend with because they're larger. That's important stuff to consider too. You may not be able to hit any easier but instilling confidence and being easier to see are the two reasons I don't play as a sasquatch often.

The reason pros use the female is not because of hit-boxes, but a psychological mind game. Karma explains it in his latest Class setup. A Smaller player is harder to hit even if the hit-boxes are the same because the players confidence changes.

One thing you might want to add Driftor, is that the Ghille suit makes a big difference for players that use the Trakcer Sight and/or the Thermal Sight. The Hit Boxes are the same, but the Ghille character model is a much larger target.

The facts you've shown are great, but at the end of the day it's a psychological game like you said. If you pick the smallest character because you think you're going to have a smaller hit box, chances are that's how its going to run in game. The person shooting at you is going to take those extra milliseconds to get their sights on the physical model not the actual hit box. This is going to cause them to spend more time adjusting aim, spend more time looking zoomed in, spend more time moving slowly (unless they're running stalker), and spend more time second guessing their shot from a sniper rifle. And to throw on top of all of that, even at extreme ranges you feel like the Ghilie is an easier target to hit than a female character. That time adds up, and it could be the difference between winning and losing that gun battle or even getting away from your pursuer.

Keep in mind that even if the hitboxes are the same, a narrower character model is an advantage. For starters, you are perceived as a more difficult target to hit. Besides that, when a narrow model can come around corners with a smaller profile visible to the enemy.

I can honestly say I'd never considered differences between genders and equipment when it came to hitboxes. I always aim for centre mass anyway; if people were playing a female character with no equipment because they thought it gave an advantage, I have to say this: if your opponent was ever inaccurate enough that a theoretically smaller hitbox was going to be an advantage to you, you should've been able to make the kill on them in the first place. For the record, I play both genders, and the uniform I give them depends on their role in my Squad. I like the aesthetic of it. Awesome video again Drift0r, thanks mate.

I think it's because we're so used to our Teammates spawning right next to us that when the Enemy does we might not notice, at least not instantly. I know I've had this happen to me. The spawning in Ghosts are about as awesome as the ones in the Face Off map Getaway sometimes.

it's to make the game playable. Anything dealing with sending/receiving information lags. It makes it easier to hit people and so on. Blops2 had smaller hit boxes (which I prefer). This game I get kills not even aiming at the person.

Here's what I take from this- Wear the ghillie suit because people will be shooting at your body, but won't always get hit markers so you won't get shot when people are actually aiming at you or an extension of you

I am still convinced that 50% of my shots with a sniper when shooting a guy in a ghillie do not hit. and this is when my shot it as close to the center mass of the body as possible. have no problems with any other characters.

Using a small or large character model both have different/opposite benefits, but both require the person shooting you to not know that the hitboxes are always the same size. Someone might take longer to aim at a smaller character because they think the hitbox is smaller. Where as with a large model, someone might be more lenient with their aim because they think hitting that extraneous feature will hit you.
