the target-finder has a way way bigger "sight-square" than the Tracker sight, if you haven't noticed. You'll never ever do as good with the Tracker sight as the Target finder.

I personally hate the tracker sight and would probably never use if it didn't have iron sights as well. It blocks too much of your view. And yeah Nadeshot did say that it feels like lesser recoil with the iron sight.

I started using it when I realized you could use it with just an iron sight. I'll use that 90% of the time but I have found myself in situations where it has been very useful.

I always use it on the R5; iron sights for close range and the optic for med-long range. The blurred surroundings make it easier to focus on the site when the combatant is goos poke away

This sight helps me because I use a pretty low-quality standard definition TV to play videogames so I can't really see people at far distances except for maybe a slight blur. So this really helps me at long ranges and I love it.

you should have tested the direct tracker sight vs.iron sights( of the tracker sights). Im 100% sure that the tracker sights had a rather round bullet spread while the iron sights were really vertical. I tested that with around 10 magazines on the fad i believe.

I avoided using it because when you zoom in, everything gets blurred, so i can't see anything on the left of the optic, and the right of the optic. Not really useful for someone like me that runs around with the sight on all the time, but i guess i could actually give it a try first.

at least the iron sight functionality of the tracker sight is really nice and clear. it looks a lot like the honeybadger and arx irons, but with some orange to contrast nicely and keep you centered. seems like an optic attachment well spent to me. although the blurring effect on your peripherals will probably get you killed from the sides if you don't check your corners.

Not really, you can prone strafe with any scoped weapon as well even in other cods, this is nothing new and you move too slow when prone to actually try to argue that it will help you dodge bullets especially with sticky aim assist that drags on targets.

in BO2 I noticed a difference between visible recoil and actual recoil. Also, when I did a split screen test with my brother, our screens showed different patterns. We would stand side by side and I would empty a clip into a wall and that one clip showed up as one pattern on my screen and a different one on his. Just wanted to make it clear that it was the same 30 rounds not simply the same gun used independently.

I think that this is a way more balanced version of the target finder. I don't have to explain why. I certainly like the tracker sight and think it is fairly balanced since the outside of the sight is blurred and the sight itself is pretty narrow. Not to mention, the tracker sight's irons are damn good.

The way I use this tracker sight is I'll stay in iron sight mode until I find a target, then swap for a pinpoint shot to ensure I can keep aim on them. Works extremely well for that, to too useful otherwise.

I suggest using it on marksman rifles because you can use the iron sights to breach a room or go around the map. Then at long ranges the tracker part allows you to spot enemies at a distance better than an iron sight would.

If the guy is completely behind the wall, yes, it does see through the wall, iv'e seen it happen before with my own eyes. the tracker sight does in fact see through the wall on some maps Driftor.

The reason why some people find it to be more accurate is because of the animation of the recoil. The recoil animation shows the gun w/ absolutely no recoil.

Great video. I only use the tracker sight on my LSAT or other LMG classes and it is extremely effective especially on Domination, for me atleast. I am more of a defensive support player.

Actually, yes, it is what it needs. As compared to spotting people in BF, hiding in that game and spotting is very much equivilant to having a target finder. Even better, it puts them on the map for several seconds for your teamates to find and flank; much more dangerous than a simple "only you can see it" orange glow. I HATE those dark corner campers, and this is what kicks them in the pants.

Did you test the recoil patterns with the Highlighting sight up? Also, guys, this thing isn't the Target Finder. This totally removes peripherals, which is a big disadvantage, and if someone's pinkie toe is sticking out from behind a wall, this won't put a big red triangle on the center of their body. Sure, the prone strafing isn't a problem, but it hasn't effected me yet.

The problem with your recoil test is that you were using the hybrid, iron sight during each test instead of the tracker sight itself. I'd like to see the same test using the actual tracker sight, not its iron sight hybrid Drift0r.

This is a interesting balance. It lacks the op nature of giant diamond and zoom making it not so useful for camping since at the range where it would help you wouldn't be able to hit without low sensitivity and if they are close... well you'd spot them at about the same time. Also the blur helps balance this causing people to think they see things or missing things that aren't in the center of sight making it more worry some. This just makes it worth your time to use smoke grenades more often, since you now can have a sight that doesn't completely change a guns play style defeating the half point of using the grenades.

On PC, this sight is only practical to players with high-end PCs. This is because the double rendering lowers the framerate almost twice, so for someone who can't play the game smoothly on high settings, the Tracker Sight is just going to be a huge pain. It's not that significant with the sniper scopes (you usually aim slower with them, so you have enough time to track your target with a bit of lag), but it surely hurts your accuracy with the Tracker. IW made a huge mistake of rendering the same scene twice with the same settings (just blurring out one region) - if they could make the secondary render use really low-poly meshes, no effects and low-res textures, I bet it would run much smoother and look just the same.

I've never believed those "wall" tests in any COD, attachements will always be something thats personal. If you think it does more damage or decreases the recoil, it might just work..

The FOV change is really one of the most, if not THE most interesting property of this attachment. If for example you put this on a shorter range weapon like an SMG you can easily benefit 10-fold over the other sights from the increased peripheral vision. Of course this doesn't work if you aren't using the iron sight portion. It's really cool as an alternative for players who like iron sights but don't like whatever particular iron sight they are trying to use. Don't like the MTARs slightly more obstructive ironsight? Change it! (I love the MTAR iron sight) Did the recoil change at all between the tracker and iron sights mode of this sight? I would assume it doesn't matter but I didn't see Driftor use the tracker portion of the sight during the test. And it looks like I'm not the only one that dislikes using the stick-click to change optics. It's just bothersome and sometimes you accidentally knife when trying to quickly alternate between scopes.

I always considered the tracker/target finder sights to be somewhat a balance against dark corner campers in CoD, similar to how one spots someone in BF behind brush/corners. Yeah, it doesn't highlight them, but you can get an idea of where they are at. That's always been my opinion. :/ Let's not forget too, that in BF, spotting puts them on the map for your mates to find and flank as compared to a sight only designated to your vision. I don't know, I think it's honestly fair for situations involving a game that does a lot of camping.

If I remember correctly, he left because of how the PC community treats everyone else. Even if he played on console, it was some of the comments brought up on his actual reviews syaing he was crap for playing on console, or even, just for spotlighting call of duty (which is a COMPLETELY seperate game style). But you're right. Drift0r, if you enjoyed it, you should do it. You know your commentators and fans supported you through those ass holes, and we would do the same again. I don't know what they were seeing in your gameplay, but if I could say you're damn better than most casual gamers. I couldn't do what you do in BF, and I play that more than CoD. You have more power than what any BF heckler says, if they can't produce a better video review, then they can go F off. They are just jealous because you can play both games well, where a hardcore BFer can't go positive in a CoD TDM. If CoD really is a game for "kids", then why can't the "grown ups" play it? Are they so skilled at FPS's that they suck at a "kids" game? If anything, BF makes me play better on CoD, so I don't know what they are getting at. Either way, if you still enjoy the reviews, i say continue with BF and leave the smug dill holes to their pathetic comments/emails. If they can't do better reviews, then they can shove it. I'd love to see stats on BF, and yours are the only ones almost worth watching. I haven't seen a better/more fun in depth that's easy to follow other than yours. ***** One thing about how not to give you flak for that. Battle field is designed more heavily around large maps, which encourages camping simply because it takes to long to get anywhere without setting up a spawn, and even then... CoD on the other hand has smaller maps comparatively which normally means there are less ways to get past the problem since every enemy is also nearby. Both game play differently to a degree and because of that there is a huge difference between the two, especially considering you have bullet drop which also changes how you have to aim. You can't compare an aspect of the two and say one is better or worse then the other, they are too different because of the in game mechanics, in the last battle field I played, if I remember right, you can have a launcher with a ammo box or something like that so you can have infinite ammo or explosives, which means you can kill about any camper with ease by rain of grenades or rockets, and even if one person can't, you only need two people then which is still easy enough to do. Why are they both popular? Because it has enough people interested in each on, either both or one over the other, that they are still being made. If they were too similar then one series would've fallen off the grid by now. Despite various redundancies between games they are different enough to garnish merit for either one from new players and hate the other.

I've found that the Tracker is best with LMGs, most Specifically the M27 IAR. Tracker Sight, Silencer, Grip/Armor Piercing= One awesome class. Hang back a bit, and just hose people, especially on Domination, like on Stormfront (not one of my favorite maps, but this gun makes it work very well). With ARs and SMGs, it doesn't work as well, but that is just me.

I'm sorry I have to disagree. I have a video where the tracker sight was not completely showing my outline through a wall but I was still slightly visible. There was some small holes in the box at the bottom but I was still being seen at the top of the opaque wall

Wow, i just learned this. but There's another perk to the tracker sight not mentioned. While up, it reduced flash to zero. And even while using the irons, it still obscures muzzle flash greatly in comparison with any guns irons.

***** FoV changers change the cg_fov value, which has nothing to do with the ads FoV. The FoV when adsing is defined in weapon files, and the only dvar which can alter its value is cg_fovscale, but FoV changers generally don't change that

I prefer this sight to the Thermal Hybrid because the Thermal not only reduces my close range situational awareness, but it also seems a little broke in my opinion. Just too camper friendly, which is fine if your a sniper, or in some cases even a marksmen rifle, but not for AR's. Much camp, such thermal, very rage.

This sight makes any gun with a horrible sight better when you switch from the tracker to the iron sight (QUICK TIP) like the vector has a horrible iron sight but when you put on the tracker sight and switch to its iron sight it is a 100% way better

What I don't like about the Tracker Sight is that is counts as a scope. I noticed this on Wii U using the Wii remote (there are specific options with sensitives), and my speed is dramatically reduced when using the Tracker. If you get a sniper, you can prone strafe, but put ACOG on it and you can't anymore. For some reason, they made the Tracker has the propitiates of a scope, so you can move around like a snake on crack. Imagine putting a variable zoom on a Bizon, that is what it is like using the Tracker on a SMG.

Episode about hip fire cones while ADS using iron sites of no attachment v. Tracker and Thermal sites. They definitely feel different to me. Also, ADS movement speeds looking different (w/ and w/o stalker) may just be viewing angles.

I used the tracker almost exclusively at first because I needed help picking out the enemy's in Ghost's big a** maps. But now that I know the maps and have a feel for where I should be watching I don't feel like I need the tracker anymore and it's almost disorienting zooming in and out with it. I kinda feel like it's a good help at the beginning and/or when you got a ton of campers/head glitchers in your lobby but other than that it's more trouble than it's worth.
