The plus to having removable armour is that you can display him battle damaged (like take off the chest and maybe arm pieces)

Agreed, although its classic to have him in armor then not as in the game, I have always liked the idea of him losing armor piece by piece too. Show the literal Hell he has to go through and survive with battle damage.

Just ordered this figure, and I can't wait for it to arrive. I have a long history with this game series, and I have always wanted figures. I will also be getting the Firebrand figure, and I hope that Dan will do a review for it when it comes out.

This is really awesome! I really hope that, despite the pircetage, it does well and we'll be able to get Arthur in his Bronze and Gold Armor, maybe with new faces and weapons or packed in a combo with other figures like te Princess, Red Arremer and the Magician (coupled with Arthur's trasformed versions). Gotta say, I was super disappointed with this figure. I came to watch this to see if there was a solution offered for the stupid pauldron falling off problem. The worst part is that his arm possibility is severely limited because of that poor design. The spike on his helmet keeps falling off to the point I took super glue to keep it on. Two of the plates on his belt fell off the first day, sorry glue for that, too. The helmet's visor won't stay up, either. I've also had to tighten all the joints above the waste. I've also had a rediculous problem getting his leg armor off for his boxers. A hair dryer was needed to get the joints off to switch from armor to boxers. I was afraid I was going to break it. Half the joints are loose like a rag doll and the other half are so stiff I was afraid to break something. Yeah, I fixed it ok with a hair dryer, Finish floor polish and sewing machine oil, but for that much money I shouldn't have to. It's fantastic to have a ton of articulated joints on an action figure, but if you can't actually use them because other things prevent you from posing the figure properly it's pretty lame. $50? Sure. $85? Not again.

I have the golden armor version of this figure. I didn’t intend on buying that version, but the regular version sold out on the website I bought it on, so I bought the golden version. I love the way he looks, but putting on his cape and keeping his shoulder pad on are DIFFICULT! Not only that, but there’s a part from the clear plastic stand he cane with that broke! I understand he’s meant to be displayed, but I’m really disappointed with how fragile they made these figures! Even posing it is difficult!

Hate to be that "one guy" but to charge $85 for a wobbly figure? Hmm... Not worth it! I've seen other figures that has the same gimmick that's sturdier and cheaper.. By the way, your review is great but it's hard to focus on the figure cause of the white background. I just want to point that out ( I seriously want you to change your background when the figure is light colored!! ). I guess you can count that as a "constructive criticism". :P

It's a cool looking figure, but the way the removable armor was executed really hurts the figure. And then you look at the price and it's an easy pass. Which is a shame, because if they had just given him interchangeable limbs with and without armor, he would have ended up being a really awesome figure.
