Yes! Your time is definitely worth it! I'm sure everyone that has a small retail business has had at least one customer that tries to "price shame" them into discounting their stuff. I had a lady one time that sent me a message and told me that she was a lawyer and she was going to take legal action against me because she basically had buyer's remorse. There was nothing wrong with my item. It was actually very good quality and she completely had zero amount of retail experience. She actually tried to get me to show her my invoices where I paid for the item to make sure that I wasn't making too much profit off of her purchase. Who does that?! By the time I paid all fees associated with the purchase I made about $10. The problem with most people that don't have any idea how any of this works is they see it somewhere online for wholesale price and they believe that they should get it shipped to them at that price; or they want you to compete with the multi-million dollar companies. I always cut my ties with those customers. It's not worth it.

Yes you do!. So a permit is free and you get it from the BOE and that allows you to purchase merchandise at wholesale prices. A license is what actually allows you to operate a business and you pay for that at whatever city you will be operating your business from.
