When it comes to unwanted sales pitches, a tactic I usually find effective but still polite is to gently interject with: “Excuse me, I want to be respectful of your time so I have to say that I’m really not interested - but thank you.”

When Katherine said, "Can you say this word? Can you say, um---", youtube cut to ads and it as an amazing moment of heightening the drama.

Hey, as a long time equestrian, those beliefs about a broken horse is outdated and being phased out. The basis of horse training is the same as dog training and child rearing, you teach them habits and patterns. Positive Reinforcement is the main thing, but there’s a newer movement of consensual care, which is iffy based on the boundary lines like I think there is a delineation between human and animal compared to anthropomorphizing the animal , but knowing what habits bring out positive responses, and what doesn’t. Forcing an animal to actively do something that they don’t like is deemed as unethical and frowned upon. But teaching the horse to give yes and no responses, so body language that demonstrates they don’t enjoy whatever, vs body language that shows that they do. Examples of this would be having a horse move towards a saddle pad instead of sighing or holding their breath.

1:11:11 so. veganism all about consent, right? animals can't give consent, but if a human gives consent to consumption of their baby making juice, it technically vegan c-m, right? 🤔
@nataliaalfonso2662Күн бұрын
Plants can’t give consent. And animals can’t give consent for humans to eat all their plants. Nor can the earth give consent for farming.

It's sad that I recognized her face, but not her name, so I went on google and I realized that she is filed in my brain as "way too into pretending to be a horse as a kid"
