@25:48 Just FYI GM, both finasteride, which prevents hairline recession, and minoxidil (rogaine), which regrows whatever remaining hair you have but thicker, the two ingredients in hair loss prevention sprays, can be prescribed and taken orally if you find the spray a hassle or easy to forget.

Further, while 1mg is the standard finasteride dose recommended by its manufacturer, there's tons of evidence you don't need that much for the same effect. I take 1 mg every other day. just in case you're pill-averse. The Hair Loss Show and Dr Gary Linkov are reputable medical channels that discuss this in depth.

that said, do not use topical minoxidil if you have pets that sleep in the room with you. there have been pets lost, in a famous case a cat passed because it had been licking its owner's face and scalp in their sleep 💔

​@@lilaculots The amount of precautions required to keep that juice from getting on other people and things… I'd rather go balder than have a toxic scalp. And it's not like minoxidil stops the itching. So you either learn to stop touching it, or wash your hands after every touch.

@@crnkmnky you can try rosemary oil massaged into your scalp; in at least 1-2 clinical trials it showed as much benefit as minoxidil. you could also try out t-sal shampoo or a medicated dandruff shampoo to see if they can A. reduce any buildup and scale on your scalp and thus help with regrowth, and B. help stop the itching. an apple cider vinegar rinse could potentially help with the itching and help clarify your scalp too.... you might also have something in your water you're reacting to (sulfur bacteria, etc) so you could consider trying a shower filter. hope any of these help

I think part of why we have that tendency to say “Now THIS is how ya do it!!” when it comes to trans jokes specifically is because we (mainly speaking for myself) have had to hear the same excuses over and over for bad jokes about us. It’s always “It’s just a joke! It’s not serious.” “Why can’t you take a joke?” “Well if I can’t say that then I guess we just can’t make jokes about trans people at all!” and like 75% of the time it was either a really bad joke based on stereotypes and cis disgust, or it was just vile hate. So when we hear a joke that’s actually good involving a trans person, we want to shake those people who’ve been saying that crap our whole lives and go “LOOK! It’s POSSIBLE!“ TLDR I totally understand how it could get annoying but, if it’s of any consolation, it’s comes from a place of sheer excitement and appreciation

I've never had much of an opinion about cheesecake factory but one of the few times I went was a kinda big family lunch. I ordered curly fries with my burger but they gave me regular fries. And when I let the server know, they let me keep the regular fries and brought me curly fries. I normally scarf down any and all fries but there was so much I had to get help from my nephew to finish it all. Not a big deal or anything; just that it was a positive experience. I'm realizing getting free food is highly effective towards deciding my opinion about restaurants. Similar thing happened with 5 Guys. I ordered a burger with the works and a couple condiments. I guess the cashier didn't hear me say "the works" so it came out as a very plain burger with just the condiments. When I let the person at the front know, they let me keep the wrong burger and delivered the correct one to me at the table. I've used it in job applications as an example of above and beyond customer service 🤣

Too right! Biggest life hack I've ever seen is when a friend from college dropped out in his first year, got a 9-5 office job, and also did other shift work jobs. He continued to live in a (already dirt cheap) shared house full of students and he came with us to campus club and society events (sometimes to our lectures) to hang out, pursue his hobbies, and meet new friends when he had free time. Without a degree he now works in HR for a tech company with a great salary and zero student loan debt because he was in the right place at the right time, is a genuinely good person, is incredibly hard working, and is excellent with people. A second example: I just got back yesterday from staying at a 5 star hotel with another college friend. She went to a trade college for culinary skills and hospitality, but lived in a house with students from the university I attended. At a party she made friends with a hiring manager for an international hotel group who was in a part time business graduate program at uni. This manager saw her dedication, generosity and insane work ethic and put her forward for interview. Now she works in customer service with a great salary and her benefits package includes rock bottom staff pricing for luxury hotels all over the world. For my part although I did graduate with a university degree and have worked in my chosen field, it was my uni roommates who helped and encouraged me and gave me personal references that meant I had a teaching job straight out of uni with double the starting salary at a university on the other side of the world to my home (EU to China). Also I have friends from all over the world who have an open invitation to visit me (and have), and I've been to their homes across Europe, the U.S., Japan, and China and their families are now my extended family too.
