Sparrow is a fun lake to fish. Great job explaining technique and how/where to find them Kevin. Thanks

Thanks. Video was not shot on sparrow. But sparrow was used as an example. Hopefully, 100 boats don't go thinking they can get crappie in there like that. I put a disclaimer in the description.

Great video Kevin! I’ve never targeted crappie and really appreciate the information you share! Definitely need to try for crappie!
@FoxFishing4KАй бұрын
This is early for them. From now until first ice they are great to target, and great table fare, should you want fish to eat.

The location stuff kinda scared me at first. I seen you out there sunday with the kids. But youve helped me with techniques and finding fish so I cant be mad. My buddy did send me a picture of a 3.6 pound 17" crappie that was caught on sparrow. Let the big ones go and only take what you want for a good meal. My best is a 16 1/4. The big ones have been stacked on a standing timber since early august. Livescope is deadly especially on that lake. 🎣

100%. Not only do I let the big ones go I know the detrimental effects spot burning can do. I don't normally give exact locations but will use spots as examples. That being said sparrow does have an amazing crappie fishery and some of the largest crappie I have ever seen. North of sparrow is excellent if you can find them. A lot of guys get discouraged and struggle. My girls had a blast catch crappie, aunfish, and largemouth bass :)

So… what lake is it?
@FoxFishing4KАй бұрын
Almost all local lakes have crappie in them. Sparrow, Couchiching, Simcoe, Dalrymple, Lake St. John, Tea, Morrison, I could keep going. Every lake will have giants and every lake sets up similar this time of year. Apply this info to any of those lakes or your own lake. This was not filmed on sparrow itself, but it was filmed on a bay thst you can drive to from sparrow. I just don't give out exact pins.

So you aren't keeping any fish?
@FoxFishing4KАй бұрын
Nah not today. Unless I plan on cleaning and eating day of or fresh, I don't keep them. 99% of my fishing is catch and release. I don't eat much.
