NOTE: I didn't include prices in this video because Vivian & Dianna graciously paid for everything. But my guess is that each meal was somewhere between 30 - 40 EUR (maybe a bit more for the seafood feast?), judging from other food I ate in Athens.
Taverna Agrinio - The first Greek meat restaurant we went to is called Taverna Agrinio, known for their variety of grilled Greek meat. They cut us up a selection of all the different meats, and put them on a paper platter and topped it all with fries and oregano. It was an amazing Greek food feast!
Taverna Moschos ΜΟΣΧΟΣ (Ο) - Next, we went to go eat Greek seafood at Taverna Moschos ΜΟΣΧΟΣ (Ο), one of Vivian & Dianna favorite restaurants in Athens. Again, the owner was very nice, and we ordered a feast of seafood including fish, squid, and Greek style octopus which was one of my favorites.
Le Greche - For dessert we went to Le Greche to eat gelato.

In the afternoon, I wanted to get a little exercise in and decided to go walk around the Roman Agora, Hadrian's Library, and finished with Monastiraki Square.

Wow, Mark! Thank you for showing us how the Greeks serve a platter of lamb or beef! I have never seen anything like this in my travels around the World......a whole platter of grilled lamb with potatoes, natural juices, herbs and spices.....my favorite, especially lean because of being grilled....We need a Greek restaurant like this on the West Coast of the U.S. in Seattle!

I am a Southeast Asian person who grew up in the U.S. One of the common compliment I hear from non-Asians is how *WE* Asians are family oriented. I personally have always found the statement uncomfortable because it's untrue. The Greek ladies in this video just proved human affection is universal, and family bond is strong throughout the world.

I was born in London UK, but also lived in the US, and Greece. I now live in Cambodia, and have travelled to almost all Southeast Asian countries. What they say about Asian's being family orientated is 100% accurate. But yes the Greeks are also, it's just western Europeans and Americans who no longer seem to grasp the importance of family. I blame the social engineers for destroying family values in the West, and I also believe it is done deliberately.

@@thefactisfactis It's not done on purpose, it is a by product of the industrial revolution. All the rural people moved to the cities enmasse, everybody became a stranger to one another. People stopped caring for the elderly as they moved away etc. Places like Greece modernised later and because of this their culture was preserved. Adopting industrialism early was the problem, but someone had to do it first. The west just went overboard with it.

I see a lot of comments saying 'Ying is very lucky to have Mark'. I think quite the opposite. He's very blessed to have a partner who is so patient and understanding of what he does. I personally would get so angry as time passes if my partner whips out a camera and talks to it when I just want to have a nice meal together. One on one. Nothing else. He's incredibly blessed to have her and I hope he never takes advantage of this as he can come across as a little unaware of his surroundings sometimes.

I'm lucky to have Ying for sure! But that being said, we don't film all the time. Sometimes Ying eats first if she's really hungry, sometimes we film first if she's not very hungry - everyday, situation is different. Also, we're a little different than normal families, we earn a living by doing this. And so we're not just on vacation and that it's a hassle to film what we do, but we enjoy it. When we're on real vacation, we won't be making any videos hah! Thank you for the reminder and support!

@Krab Krabby Greeks are not racist any more or in any larger percentage than any other nation. There is a racist party that has a single digit supporter percentage and there are the occasional racist people. as well as the occasional racist jokes. E.g. jokes about albanians stealing, just like Americans about blacks stealing and leaving their kids. But in contrast to most other nations they are in a quite significant majority quick and willing to form meaningful friendships, quick to swear at you if you are rude to them, but ready to help you cordiously just for asking nicely with a smile, and a lot of us will compete at who will feed you the best when you visit us. Here in Greece, food is a ritual. Every region of Greece has something different, something to offer you. Every recipe is always made with love and respect in our past especially when it is traditional Greek food accompanied by recipes of our mums or grandmothers ... The table gathers the whole family around it because the family is the most sacred thing in Greece!

I miss Greece I haven't been there since the mid 80's .I also have a ton of relatives in Cyprus from my dad's side that I have never seen yet,maybe one day I will get to go to Cyprus and Greece.

I went to Cyprus in 1985 with my Greek speaking girlfriend. We had an amazing time. We didn't have much money so ate basic Greek 'peasant' food. Stuffed vine leaves, white beans, some awesome soups made with greens and those lovely spinach feta parcels. Hardly any meat. And grilled sweetcorn cooked at the side of the road on dustbin lids! Yummy. Went back to Cyprus last year, and what a difference. And not one i enjoyed at all. Now an overpriced very expensive tourist island and i found it extremely difficult to find those simple dishes.

@@tilerman Yeah, best to go to Greece, to a more rural island or location now. Cyprus is a top holiday destination in the UK and much of western Europe. Avoid top holiday destinations, it's just full of dumb tourists who only go on holiday to lie on a beach and it's all overpriced to make money off of said tourists. My family is from Mytlini, a normal island not a hot tourism location. Much nicer place to relax and eat.

After your epic worldwide tour last year, I'm so glad that your continued travels are further afield than SE and East Asia. As much as I love food from those parts of the world, and acknowledging that is your area of operations so to speak and understandably will have many more videos in those regions, I can't help but think that by widening your horizons and experiencing new cultures and cuisines that it can only be a good thing for the growth of your channel and our culinary entertainment. The intestine roll is eaten exactly like this in my father's hometown in Southern Italy. Of course these two geographical regions influenced each other(there are even Greek villages close to the coast)
