We have done better on numbers in the spring and on big fish in the fall, but we certainly aren't the experts. Good rule of thumb though.

I fish offshore at the point in Minas Basin once and got nothing, the tidal water it’s crazy, 2 hours fishing time it’s all you got from shore.

These stripers are different than northeast USA stripers? Fall migration is upriver??

There are basically three populations of stripers that use this river. If they are local bass, chances are they never left the river system all season and only go to the mouth of the river and/pr make short saltwater journeys from time to time. If they are Nova Scotian bass, they returned mid/late summer to feed in preparation for overwintering in the Saint John River and if they are US bass, they are migrating up to feed and will usually leave as the river cools, but they've been known to get stuck here over winter and even spawn in the spring. The change in water temperature triggers bass that are concentrated at the mouth of the SJ river to move up river. 10C give or take is the magic number.
