Hi Foreign Correspondent and thanks :-) I'm hoping to stitch a few tunes together for Christmas - without me talking. It was a lovely guitar to play as most of them are but that's probably down to the fact that most of the guitars you'll see on here hasve come in for work so I've got them all set up and restrung before I do the review. Hi Gary, still have to look away as I pass the Gibson Studio in wine red in Frailers, great sound as usual, what amp are you using is it still the Blackstar, could you possibly do a short session showing your setup and settings , would be interesting to see , cheers man catch you Saturday, will have to arrange sending the Westfield pro up to you after Christmas for a review 👍

Hi Andy :-) Yes, that'd be great to see the Westie. I've got two more coming up - great guitars. I'm still using the Blackstar but I've just started using a slightly different method of recording so I'll do an update probably in the New Year once I've refined it (refined means worked out what I'm supposed to be doing hahahaha). Hi Gary, love this one. Maybe it's just in my head but I always prefer the sound of the open pickups. The black hardware on this one looks great too. I never would not have considered one of these a couple of months ago but now that I'm the proud owner of a really pretty looking LP when the time comes to quit working full time I'll probably carry on for an extra month and check out another one and not be so bothered about the way it looks. I've got an HB with P90s and the Gibson with minis, it's only right to have a guitar with regular humbuckers too.

Hahahaha, hi Rod, I like your thinking :-) I've seen your HB on your Theme One video. The tone from that guitar sounds very similar to Robert Fripp's on Starless with King Crimson. At least if you get one with regular humbuckers you can always swap them with anything else of the same size - DiMarzios, Seymours etc. I'm currently recording an Ibanez RG350 and it's completely stock. Lots of bang for buck with those. I'll get it reviewed soon. Cheers, Gary :-)

Hi Gary, I get that tone with a cheap little Gizmo called a "Cube Baby" I have two of them. They come out of China under various brand names Mine are "Lekarto" and "M-Vave" Under forty quid, it's got all you need in a tiny box that fits in your guitar case. Well worth checking out. The tone on "Theme One" is one of the presets that come as stock. BTW, I had the mini humbuckers on the LP wax potted because I was getting a few unwanted noises. She was a treat before but now OMG!!!! I've already had an offer for the guitar but the next owner of that one will be who ever I leave it to when I go to the great gig in the sky.

Think I preferred the warm bourbon colour but the warm tones on this were nicer. " Little pot of wrong " 😅 gping to borrow that. Great review as always. Thanks Gary.

Hahahaha, hi Pete :-) Strictly speaking no two instruments can sound totally identical for some fairly obvious reasons (different trees, wires, constructors etc). Yes, if anything nefarious has gone on there'll be a little cavity of misery hahahahaha. Cheers, Gary :-)
