I have a 1969 fretless wonder given to me by my father before he passed in 2004. Just sitting for the past 21 years. Until I seen these demo videos, I was considering having it refretted. Not now.

I have (according to dates on the pots) a 73' Custom that was a fretless. Gibson is missing the dot on the I, Stamped made in usa and the volute.

I have a 68 Paul Fretless Wonder which I bought new in 1968. Same impression as you guys about the low frets....particularly after playing these same frets for over 40 years! Wondering if the Custom Reissue is as heavy? the very first night I played mine, the strap popped off and the Paul nut caught a piano on the way down and sheared the G string tunner off! Managed somehow to play at least for two more hours without a G string. Truly enjoyed your video! Haley

I takes time to get used to play a fretlesss wonder. But not as much time as you think when playing it for the first time.

the 69 sounds better a little more cut and clarity while retaining that chunk
