It turns out that the person who took Lynette did that because he liked her cat ears and tail, the story calls him a "novelty seeking degenerate" Lynette was already insecure about her cat traits since lyney did not inherit them and people would question her if they are real siblings So lyney's box trick requiring Lynette to work is really sweet, it's a way to show up his foster parent who said that anyone could be his assistant

About the Fatui: while they are a Snezhnayan organization, the Harbingers have been recruited from all over the world; Dottere was originally a scholar from Sumeru, and Scaramouche was an Inazuman puppet. While Tartaglia is Snezhnayan, he is the only one I can actually nail down as such.

Cmon I think you guys are very harsh at criticizing him. Tbh his genshin walkthrough is entertaining than most genshin streamer. A lot of them pretending to focus on story but they understand nothing and it shows on trial minigames. My only suggestion to him is atleast don't read chat during cutscenes tho, he almost miss Neuvillete oneshottting Childe lol.

Mondstadt we WERE working with the authorities the whole time (knights of favonius) Inazuma we were literally a part of the resistance movements against the authorities Sumeru again we were fighting against the authorities who did a coup on nahida. The archon quests would immediately end for those two because we'd die lol

@@effortlessfury I liked the scope of it. The multiple levels of security made it feel larger and more mysterious to me. The second just felt really same-y wherever you were standing with all the spiral cliffs. And by the third I was feeling desert fatigue. It was the first zone that I didn’t immediately explore, but after half a year, I went back and did it. It was alright. Again, just my experience.

The first area is cool for the reasons you mentioned but it was also designed around the quintessential things people typically find grating about desert exploration in video games. Not that there aren’t people who enjoy that, but obviously we’re talking about the attention span and tolerance of gacha players. XD

I went into desert when all of it was already released aside from the last part, I'm not gonna say i love it but it's the first area that I 100%, this was when there's no underground map yet. I just couldn't stopped exploring, i definitely like it more than the Sumeru forest and Inazuma

If people want to just watch someone play a quest uninterrupted, I don't understand watching streamers at all. It's live so they can also feed off that interaction and enjoy the story with company. It is very possible to do both.

Well, I feel like there needs to be a balance to reading chat and playing a story heavy game like Genshin and nobody should hard-invest into doing one or the other since it can absolutely be to the detriment of absorbing the story information or paying attention to a chat. Maybe take the time to heavily read chat whenever cutscenes end to catch up a bit so that they aren't missing the important details and still making the proper effort to engage with their audience? I feel like that would work. Trying to read chat DURING cutscenes or even worse the PRE-RENDERED cutscenes is just a bad idea without waiting for a good stopping point or unless they have a particular point that they feel is necessary to discuss.

@sneakretster that can work for some, might not work for others. But isn't even really the point because I don't really get the point of telling someone else how to enjoy their game. He's not really missing out on a lot of information and is following along fine, judging from these two streams. Most of his questions are about things he can't remember from not playing for extended periods of time away and not thinking of the game, which is... normal. And in those cases, relying on chat is the best thing to do. So I just can't understand all this criticism when the result doesn't seem to match the assumptions about how much he loses from reading chat.

@@yundorphin I'm not specifically criticizing Garnt for it because I've known he's a really busy person with a lot going on and he's not the type of player who's caught up with everything and super invested in the lore, this is more general advice on how people should probably go about it if they don't want to miss things. (I know that dictating how people enjoy things is unreasonable and I'm not ever going to exert that kind of expectation on a streamer.) Still, when it comes to Genshin I feel like in order to maximize investment and not be confused you have to give a lot of your attention to the game even as a streamer, and that's not going to work for everyone but that's just how I feel it was designed to be absorbed. This feels especially true when I see content creators who don't consistently engage with Genshin begin to become confused or they miss information because they choose to consume it very casually, and most of them quit because it feels overwhelming, or they get burnt out, or one of the various reasons you'll commonly see people drop the game.

Maybe there are some streamers like that out there, but they'll probably stop streaming Genshin by this point. Keke. My comments are mostly about the criticism towards Garnt's streaming style, which I feel are really unwarranted. It's baffling to me since it really seems like the viewer is just annoyed he's talking to chat and making up excuses for that. But they could just watch a streamer who interacts less with his chat if it really bothers them. Pretending it's in any way detrimental to his experience is just silly.

@@yundorphin ehhh, I think it can definitely affect his experience because trying to cater to chat by cracking jokes or keeping up with whatever they might be talking about can lead to bypassing important points and glossing over some information. He's not *terrible* about it usually, but there are definitely times when he and other streamers miss something and get stumped over a simple problem or conclusion presented in the story. Ironically, as much as people mock her, Paimon definitely does help with this problem by slightly reiterating things or recapping bits of information 😅

Garnt isn't really a great streamer imo, the only streams I watch of his are the anime seasonal streams. He focuses way too much on chat for no reason, when he could just chill a little and focus on playing the game without worrying about wtf is being said in chat every second. It's a shame because I think he's actually really entertaining and great when he's not looking at chat half the time, like when he's on TT after dark.
