Tbh the impact of Natsu talking to Gildarts about the black dragon is more impactful in the dub. Gildarts says the dragon took his arm, his leg, and then it gutted him. And after that Gildarts tells Natsu multiple times that the dragon is too strong for Natsu, whereas the sub just gives a light warning then makes it seem like Natsu is a match.

Gildarts quest is never mentioned in fairy tail. Fairy tail now has a sequel manga series named "fairy tail: 100 year quest" and that explains his quest. It does not have an anime right now.

In the manga, Gildarts looked a bit different, with different hair style and color, and no one really knows why the anime decided to have him resemble Shanks from One Piece. There’s a few theories, but most are either stupid or have been debunked.

Yeah, like, people compare the anime Gildarts with shanks which isn't fair. In the manga Gildarts has orange hair, different attire and so on. His attitude and shanks's attitude is the only one that matches. That I say only after watching 350 episodes, in which he appears just a 10 or something close. Sorry for the big rant but people should read the manga and then compare 2 characters Edit: *brown hair

After season 2 show became pretty much generic and too much predictable, Don't know what you have been watching, it's masterpiece, masterpiece in being one of the worst (season3). I have seen dozens of anime and you want to know what masterpiece is ? Berserk Hunter X Hunter Naruto Shippuden And fairy tail is no way near there level, it had potential but it was wasted, I enjoyed the first season but it slowly went downhill after that.
