Hi Mark, I'm very much enjoying your videos. Did you find out what was causing the Tacho to keep flicking up and down? My DNA has the same problem. I'd really appreciate a reply. Keep up the good work. Cheers Jono

Its common on these and bikes wirh digital dash And its 1 of a few things Damaged cable and will need replacing Damaged speedo drive and again will need replacing You can try taking it off and clean it Earth problem Take clocks off wd40 clean connectors Or new clocks bud
@jonnow12344 жыл бұрын
@@marksavage Okay, thanks for that. I'm worried it may be the dash has gone US. Will check through everything you've suggested and see if I can clear the fault. Will let you know how I get on. Cheers Jono

Hi Mark awesome videos , wonder if you can help me i have a gilera dna 125 2003 im trying to hook up my engine again and all the pipes to the carb and engine but i cant find a diagram anywhere i checked the net , google etc so all im left with is a mess of pipes and no guide to folllow not even if the bike bible (Haynes Manual) any help would be great , thanks
@marksavage7 жыл бұрын
are you talking about the fuel and air pipes? or electric wires, I have done a few dna's and they tend to hate me lol but keep playing with them. they have a funning fueling system as it's from the bottom of the tank and done a video on the vacuum maybe give that a look as it may help. mark
@Keke520967 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark thanks for quick reply . I meant say the fuel and air bikes i noticed some go to engine too im guessing these be water but im unsure, i'll check the video you suggest thanks :)
@marksavage7 жыл бұрын
water ones should be easy to figure out as for the fuel yes it's a did odd from the tank to the carb and air in let but the pipe should fit by size and only primes by turning over. mark

mark savage i have a cable that comes from the coolant bottle, and I have two ppaces that it can go - either the thermostat housing or into the head itself. Would you know which one it goes to? i also have a pipe that goes from the bottom of the thermostat, is that a drainage/breather pipe?

What year is that dna, why has the rear end got different indicators and number plate position
@marksavage4 жыл бұрын
A lot of these peds get played with and things added or shaped Why do you think its not right? Maybe yours has been changed Also different country's place things in different areas and have different indicators !!!!
@2SmokeyGuru4 жыл бұрын
mark savage if you look at a picture of a 06 model the number plate mount and indicators are one unit where as yours are separate and the number plate mount is further back then usual, someone might have changed it as u said, I might do the same to mine it looks a lot cleaner

I NEED HELP!! I have a dna 50 and it runs but way to hot. It starts fine but leaving it running it will reach 120 digress in 5 minutes. Can suggest what I could to to fix it? Also I really like the way you changed the back end with the single light fixture with the indicators and brake light built in, I might copy it because it look way better lol
@marksavage6 жыл бұрын
that doesn't sound good, could be water pump or head gasket gone bud, are you loosing water?, can you see the water moving round? is there a blockage ?, have you changed the water/ serviced the water system? as for the rear end yes bud it does look good thanks for watching please like and sub mark
@jamesclark526 жыл бұрын
mark savage I have changed the coolant many times, I have checked the thermostat taken it cleaned it and made sure it was opening at 80 digress. Completely flushed the system 3 times. I’m just getting no flow around the circuit. I have no clue how to take the water pump out and there are no references about it online :( Could you make a video on this if you still have your DNA, I’m not the only one effected by this problem and I would be very helpful in getting by bike running again :) Thanks James
@marksavage6 жыл бұрын
umm sure the dna water pump is on the outside over the stator coil, on the sr they are in the engine and a bugger the only thing it can be is a blockage in the head or water pump you have taken out the thermostat and then flushed the system and it does not go through? then its all off bud as it will only damage the head and blow anyway mark
@jamesclark526 жыл бұрын
I’ve fixed the water pump (some idiot had put two water-seals in one side) but now everything is back together it doesn’t start. It’s had a new piston, rings and spark plug, cranks over fine but it just won’t run. Any suggestions of what it could be? I’ve really hit a brick wall on this one lol

mark savage that’s good to know, I’m buying one that has been sitting in a shed since it was bought 04-05 model I believe, it hasn’t even done 100miles so I hope it is derestricted, if it isn’t tho should I up the jet size, change the roller to heavier ones and see if the exhaust has a restrictor thanks mate
