Great shave Mark! Yeah, Nacet blades have become some of my favorite blades, hands down. I even use them on head shaves. I'm getting 4-6 quality face shaves out of one currently. They are fantastic in vintage Gillette razors too, especially Aristocrats.

@@MarkSzorady anytime. In super speeds, they are absolutely amazing. 2 pass, just about BBS every time, no irritation. But definitely use a good preshave, because these can give a good sting if you mistreat them. First time I used them, I took a cut under my chin with my Slim adjustable on 7.

The Russian made Gillette branded blades are the best under Feather. I never used a Nacet, I think they were an old Czech brand like Astra. I bought 2 X 100 packs on eBay today and the guy offers 1 pack free plus free shipping!!!! That’s 300 Nacet blades! The Irish soap and aftershave is gas! ☘️

Yeah I definitely think they were Russian. My parents used them in Nigeria and I do as well; amazingly sharp and comfortable. I usually can get about 3 shaves but have gotten double that and stopped just because I thought I was shaving with the same blade too many times.

Gillette Nacet is an amazing blade. It is the only blade that even comes close to a Feather. Almost, though not quite as sharp, but real close. It is also much smoother, and half the cost. Now about your Permasharp.... Recently Voskhods, Permasharps and Gillette Silver Blues, have been subcontracted, some of the blades are being made by Lord in Egypt. Sometimes when you purchase a Lord blade I have found Voskhods, or Perma Sharps in the frey. (I know someone at the plant in Alexandria......)

That was a great pairing of blade and razor, I tried those Gillette Nacet blades but they didn’t work well for me, everyone has different skin, but I’m loving the Gillette Platinum blades which have been smooth with three shaves so far.

Nacets are my favorite blades, the stainless steel blades are the sharpest blades for a coarse beard. I really like these along with Gillette 7 o'clock yellow, for the sharpest blades I have ever tried it is a tie between Kai and Feather blades. I only use stainless blades, they are sharp and cut hair like butter and Nacets work great for my sensitive skin I use them in my Parker semi slant or My RazoRock German 37 Slant. Wet the face makes some good smelling tobacco scents, I am buying some more samples soon. Since it the holiday season Siliski Soaps has an Awesome Frankincense and Myrrh, Stirling soaps Christmas Eve and Frankincense and Myrrh smell awesome, since it also baking season Oleo Soap works Siebo and Phoenix Artisan chocolate bourbon are for those like Hot chocolate and Chocolate cake like smelling soap.

Regarding soaps, don't forget Cella.:) Cella smells like Christmas cookies!:) 7 O'clock blades are terrific! I usually use the green. I have some yellow...need to use those.:) But these Nacets are a step up, IMHO.:)

Hey Mark! If you have a Sally beauty supply by you, they have some wet shave products right on shelf!! They have synthetic shave brushes, after shave balms, Pinaud Clubman aftershave, Derby double edge blades, and they have a DE razor from the Shave Factory brand in a plastic case!! I bought most of the items. The brush has quickly become one of my favorites!! Just some info if you ever run into one of those stores! Jim from Northfield

My birthday was Nov 6th and I wanted to get myself something special so I was browsing online and found the deal of a lifetime! A 1948-1950 Gillette Aristocrat with case for only $25.00 ! That’s not all A while ago I went on one of the Byselle trade forms and told people I was looking for a Parker Varient, so somebody message me and said I can have his for $10.00!!! Believe that?! Only catch is it’s one of the very first ones that has plating issues... what do I care if it Shaves good!!! Lol I also ordered Fines Fresh Vetiver aftershave and soap. Inspired by Tom Fords “Grey Vetiver”

Fatips are brass, nickel plated, heavy. The Picollo with solid handle surprises with heft, thats why the Grande is hollow. Apparently 'handmade' in Italy, some finishing flaws, italian. The remaining true copies of those OC tools of the 20-30ties. My own opinion, they easily break once fall into the sink, twice...

I like the small imperfections and finishing flaws of it being machined by hand. it gives it a bit of character. But, I don't want too much character.:)

I only had the one blade to try and it was sharp but really smooth.:) For me, it felt like it upped the efficiency of the Fatip Grande razor . Yes, sharp, but quite smooth.:)

Stainless steel blades work better for me then platinum. My skin breaks out if I use platinum coating. Looking for something not coated in anything just stainless steel any recommendations??

I'd have to double check. Off the top of my head, Iwant o say tht Shaverboy are stainless as well as the Gillette Wilkinson out of India. I think Personna Reds are stainless....but I really need to double check these. The RK blades form Henson are definitely stainless..

I'm an old Polsilver guy too. They're great but today they excel at straight up oil shaving. There's nothing better than Polsilver for that but with shave soap I think 7 o'clock yellow for my Muhle R-41 is it. That's the only razor I have. Waiting on Nacets to come in. My two cents.
