buzz lightyear Good 'ole hindsight! I think that a lot of these stars deserved to have someone in power or ownership to the rights of the show, give them something, because after all, they made the show what it is, and the current people in charge or ownership of the show rich, the actors deserved a nice gesture, as I certainly would have given them a very nice bonus!!!!!

I was at a large business convention years ago among a sea of boring suits everywhere. I was told the 'skipper' was at a corporate booth. Excited, I set off for that booth, along the way like a beacon of light among the suits I saw the skipper's hat, he was taller than the suits, I got closer and it was the skipper himself walking. I stood in awe, a loved TV character come to life before my eyes. He was looking down, looking tired as he passed. If he only knew the joy he brought to me in that brief moment among the sea of boring suits. Thank you Alan 'Skipper' Hale, you brought joy & laughter to us all :)

I must tell you years ago after getting out of High School I wanted to go to California and did, when I got to Los Angeles I asked around and found that Alan Hale Jr. owned a restaurant called The Lobster Barrel.I went down there and walked in and was shocked there at the corner of the inside stood Alan Hale Jr. I wnet over and told him I was from New Jersey and he said he had spent time in Fort Dix in New Jersey. We talk for almost two hours and I got pictures with him and he gave me his Cap.

I had the pleasure of meeting Alan Hale at about this same time at the Knoxville Convention Center. I was about 19 at the time. It's funny that I just now put 2+2 together but it was at a car show. He must have been there promoting his additive product. I don't remember. I do remember talking with him briefly and he was the Skipper. Just as nice and accommodating as you would expect. I was honored. Gilligan's Island was my childhood and it brought me so much pleasure and laughter. Hands down my favorite show of all time.

I was thinking about throwing in a few real-life people in the Gilligan's Planet comic book series. That's the people who were high school dropouts. Richard Baynard, Brock Davenport, Chris Sefloogue, and Mike Engstrom were all students who found no value in education. I've included the AMW (America's Most Wanted) fugitive Nova Guthrie to be part of the deal. Did you notice that it's very rare for a teenage girl ever to be a high school dropout? I'm not kidding you. It really is. Should Willie Gilligan teach them a lesson or 2 that it's wrong to drop out of high school? 🏫

I saw Steppenwolf and Three Dog Night at the Puyallup Fair back in 1984, and between the two bands, Ross Shafer did a short standup routine between them, wearing a pink sweater. Short, because everyone booed, cussed at him, threw him the finger and chanted for him to get off the stage.
