Amazing that you found anything in that field. Well done for some challenging shooting conditions !

Ahhh the month of disappearing hogs, even with two of us it is a significant effort to locate the downed porkers. I appreciate the opportunity to join you - as always and CSMF !

Another great video Brian , yes if fields are left unused for a long time seeing game and finding game can get hard , thanks for sharing

Thanks for another interesting video Brian. With that much cover, it seems like that location would be infested with hogs. Stay safe out there! 👍🏼

When the land was purchased, it was before all the rain and when I checked the property, I wasn't seeing much. Now, they are starting to clear parts of it and I think it is driving the hogs from the woods. This property is something like 300 acres with 60% wooded and 40% open, overgrown field like you see here.

I see a lot of the hogs coming to a new place in a single line

That my friend was some challenging hunting but your perseverance paid off it looked rather nasty with the tall brush I was quite impressed when you did find the hogs well done mate 👍🦘🇦🇺

It gets more challenging. I shot more in the same field last night and am going back this morning to find them. What a mess!

My pasture started looking like that since my tractor broke down, i missed several hogs with the brush deflection using 5.56. I'm talking like feet off target from hitting the tops of grass, it's really a bummer for trying to hunt and recover them.

Yeah, I am not convinced I have the skills to not lose a drone, so I am left with more pedestrian methods of searching, or using the vultures on the following day, LOL. I hunt on other lands owned by this guy and they are very nice properties. As soon as he gets the garbage knocked back, maybe some coastal planted, and this place will be beautiful to hunt, but until then, it will be a challenge. Right now, I won't even drive my truck into the field because I don't know where all the ravines are and you can't always see them under the brush.

I see it's pretty hot where you are too. I'm switching from Sitka bug proof and hot weather clothing to Forloh. I think Forlohs is a bit cooler.. Thanks for the clip.

I am down to a long sleeve sun shirt (thin), heavy duty pants, and it doesn't matter. It is just hot, LOL.

Carpe Sus! My last two comments on the previous video's got deep sixxed by KZbin. Fun times.

What? LOL, what did you comment?

@@CarpeSus Something so benign I can't even remember. Most probably a joke. I think KZbin thinks jokes will cause the wrong outcome in November. I mean the staff were crying like infants in 2016.

@@ronsamborski6230 Good luck man! I can't remember the last time I had deer. I think more than 20 years ago. Deer have trashed my cars a couple times as payback. So give them one from me! 😆

Hey Brian, don’t you worry about rattle snakes in that tall grass?

What do you use for the rooftop mount for the finder? I have the Finder and want to use that same setup.

Okay, short of going with some sort of pro gear that guy who shoot action movies might use, I went inexpensive (relatively speaking) with a $90 pan-tilt. It is wireless. My #1 complaint is that it has too much play in it for driving down the road, as when you would have a passenger scanning as you drive. For sitting still, I am very happy with it. Here is the link... www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B51H829X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 You can adjust the speed of the pan, but I didn't read the directions and found that it moved fast enough for my needs. The magnets are very good. I don't drive with it much, but the magnetics are great, except it can be hard to get the unit off the top of the truck. If I am parked, I put a cardboard underneath it so that it does not get a good magnetic lock and I can take it off much easier. The Finder/display link is a little slow and so looks jumpy when panning, FYI. So for my needs, sitting on a hilltop and scanning, it works great. For a display, I am using an old cell phone. A larger notebook might be better. I was going cheap, but functional.
