I once had the pleasure of being invited to play drums with one of Trinidad’s ‘top’ small steel bands. I was horrified when they turned up with an old dustbin, a washboard and a steel oil drum and honestly thought it was a wind up. Well…..this young man has astounded me yet again. So many times I’ve lost count now. His beautiful simplicity, tone, and heart for true expression in the art of music is something to behold and treasure. I’m a whoppin 70 years on this earth now, have choked the necks of hundreds of guitars, performed in more than a few bands, owned and operated two brick and mortar music stores on the east coast…. I know TWO THINGS now. The “Crossroad” exists, and I’m not a guitar player. All the best to ya my man.

Niiice! Yeah, Skynyrd compositions and the way they worked the vocal melodies and guitar melodies were top notch, and Ronnies lyrical expression just made them the best Southern Rock band. It was a sad day when their plane crash was reported. Skynyrd Act 2 was just never the same.
