My journey began with Evelyn Underhill's book on mysticism and John of the Cross Dark night of the soul. I come from a fundamentalist background and but God led me to the mystics.

the word ‘mystic’ is a difficult one to come to terms with - so close to occult…but in essence: “…a true [and more intimate] knowledge of the mystery of God, that is, Christ” puts light on it

It takes much courage to watch 1000 fall on the left and 10,000 falling on the right. Most in the church can't do this--survivors guilt. Can you imagine what Noah went through? You have to be a very close son or daughter of God to experience this.

Im blown away. The angel's story is just mind. blowing. Not to rob you, but: I heard a similar story just a few months ago, told by an acquaintance I really appreciate and trust. And youre right: Masterplans would be a good thing on first sight, but they rob you off your dependance on God. So on a regular level its more like:" You go there and then, this and this will happen-but the way...the way and the goal and all of it- guess, misty is a good word to describe the paths he leads you. I wrote about Abram lately. This is what happens when we know it before: We start to force it. We take it in our hands. "Well God said it- its not possible, though- you take Hagar, then. It has to come true." Look at Moses: ...the rod thing: He didnt even listen anymore to what God said- it worked for years, it would work again. He was the one chosen to bring Israel to Canaan. Hey he was told so! By God! "There- take the water" Its careless. High cost failure on his part. Guess, in the end, its just that God refuses to let someone else play out his cards. The last cherry on the pie- its HIS. Always. Always. Always. Yep- we co-create, but in the end- we are part of the story he writes. And I think, to accept that- it is an entry point into becoming a mystic. Expect the unexpected. Expect- the hook, the surprising turnaround, the supposed elephant being a hippo. He simply loves to leave us speechless and perplexed. Without the fire-you would have assumed that angels protect your house. Well, now, you know by sure.

Psalm 91 was an interesting way to conclude this. The Father I know does not put conditions on His pursuit of me. All of the conditions originate with me and are from me. Not that I consciously want those conditions, some of them come with my humanity. With grace and the help of the Holy Spirit, most conditions can be mitigated to a place that is tolerable.

God would'nt give me the master plan of my life because so many things that have happened in my life have been because I was definitely not listening to God. He used those moments many years later for me to learn from. It would almost seem like He was giving me permission to sin, had I been given the plan!!! Also my rebellious nature would have been to sabotage the plan!!!! 😁

in literal practical terms, we take refuge in the Holy Spirit in the physical oxygen, in literal practical terms.

I started off as suspicious and untrusting (very hard to pull jokes on me), and the internet has made this worse. I recognized it quite a while back, and I am still struggling to get healing in it.

I have enjoyed the video. Mystic is a word that does at first concern me. Can someone clarify the word.
