Thank you for these types of videos, I’ve always run super slim but when I was omnivore I had some curves. All the vegan stuff is about low calorie density and losing weight and there is almost nothing out there about keeping your weight or gaining. I was actually considering bringing in chicken since It’s what I ate when I had curves. My only concern is the saturated fat on some foods so I’m Trying to find the balance

What great information, I’m a body builder trainer and have lost too much weight since going vegan.. your infos going to help me turn the tide. I’m also mindful of blood sugar spikes with the carbs and I do intermittent fasting. Maybe a weight gain diet for a bodybuilding intermittent trainer who’s mindful of resistance insulin would be great, if it’s at all possible. Thanks heaps..😊👍
@OpenUp.2 жыл бұрын
also important to avoid/reduce high blood sugar spikes: add vinegar to your fruits smoothies or anything high in carbs (don't need to put it on everything, but things it fits good is rice and vegetables and legumes, which by the way also help with blood sugar). for example, 10ml can already decrease the spike by a lot and you can go up to 30ml to get the best result but don't overdo it otherwise you just ruin the meal. there is no known risk at doing this on every meal when everything works fine in your body. You could basically add 30ml to each meal, every day but I would do it because then everything tastes like vinegar 😂😂 Chromium also helps. (not an expert on this tho)

@VeganWithCurves3 жыл бұрын
You're welcome! And thank you!♥️ When I first started it was hard to eat more calories to regain the weight back I loss. And honestly sometimes your body needs to release excess weight from previous ways of eating (inflamation, excessive waste, etc) so that you can start over on a healthier and new foundation. But also I will say working out is KEY to increasing appetite. When you begin to break down muscle by lifting weights, your body will begin to crave more food because it needs more nutrients to rebuild itself and grow. This how I got my gains particularly in my glutes (which is just a muscle, the largest muscle on the body) I have more videos I am producing coming talking more on these topics♥️
@debsguerreiro3 жыл бұрын
@@VeganWithCurves That's a nice point!!! Because of the pandemic I'm not able to go to the gym....so, patience. I do more yoga because it is something that I'm familiar with! Plus some sit ups and bridges...
@VeganWithCurves3 жыл бұрын
You dont need a gym!♥️ In fact when I first started I couldnt even afford a gym membership and I had no car. So I would find hills around my apartment complex and just walk up them multiple times to warm up my glutes. Then I would borrow some free weights from my dad and use those for donkey kicks. I love to read and had(still have) a mini library in my place with ton of heavy texbooks and dictionaries so I would squat with those inna bookbag. Or squat and do deadlifts gallon water jugs. I would do glute bridges with whatever item I could find. (All of this with correct form of course). Your body just needs resistance to stimulate growth. It doesn't care if it is from a gym machine, free weights or from a heavy dictionary. Thank you for these comments and feedback as I will be creating more content talking about these issues.♥️

I’m so skinny on this Alkaline diet .. I’m already a pettie woman.. and it’s worst now. I’m not willing to go back to my regular eating regimen to gain weight again. But I’m desperately searching for ways to gain . Someone help ! I’m a Hairstylist and it’s already hard enough for me to stop and eat as it is.. I find myself eating everything to just feel energized, and I don’t see any results. Not trying to reflect negativity or complaining. I’m crying for help.. ❤️
@VeganWithCurves3 жыл бұрын
An "alkaline" diet is very restrictive and while it weight gain can be done, it can be hard to do because you are eliminating tons of plant based foods and have to literally prepare everything to stay within a list even condiments. Plus an alkaline diet is specifically made for cleansing, not weight gain and with cleansing you automatically lose weight. You do not have to eat an alkaline, Dr. Sebi diet to be vegan. May I ask why are you eating such a restrictive form of a vegan diet vs a regular plant based vegan diet that incorporates a wide variety of plant based foods?

I really want to stay vegan but I skip meals and don’t have much appetite. I dropped down to 89 lbs eating only alkaline vegan so I’m very skinny right now, and my appetite isn’t much. Eating this many calories to gain weight would be nearly impossible for me. 😭
@VeganWithCurves2 жыл бұрын
Alkaline vegan is very restrictive and it's more challenging to keep your weight eating that way. When you workout and break down muscle your appetite naturally increases because it needs more nutrients Eventually your body gets used to eating that many calories tho But yes skipping meals and not eating enough will have you losing weight naturally vegan or not

Have you tried maca root for weight gain?
@VeganWithCurves3 жыл бұрын
I use it for health benefits ( balancing hormones, increased libido, free radicals, energy ,etc) not for weight gain. I know a lot of people use it for that, however I do not teach that. Mainly because there are no magical herbs or pills you can take for weight gain. I feel people who teach using herbs for weight gain, come off as promoting "magic one stop pills." Healthy weight gain is achieve thru calorie surplus and working out. Now herbs can increase your appetite which helps you eat be in a calorie surplus. They can balance your hormones which can (not always) help fat go to the "right places" (however this is LARGELY based on your genetic blueprint). But I do not take stuff nor do I teach others to take things for weight gain because no matter what you take, you still have to do the work of being in a calorie surplus and working out your muscles.

To help bulk and even maintain, do you strictly eat every 3 hours or 2 hours? Or do you just make sure you try to have 2 snacks in addition to breakfast lunch and dinner?
@VeganWithCurves3 жыл бұрын
No I just eat when I am hungry. Its more about getting your calories in throughout the entire day vs following a strict schedule of eating 2 to 3 hours. Some days I only eat 1 - 2 meals and a smoothie. But those meals are so high in calories that it covers me for the day. Other days I am snacking and spread it out. I would say in the beginning if you are not use to eating a high calories for bulking, it might be helpful to follow a stricter schedule like that. I was more strict like that when I first started years ago. But overall all that matters is that you are getting your calories in for the day no matter how many times a day you eat.

What's your experience with the Markus Rothkranz Herbal Vitamin C and the Green Formula? Do you find it effective?
@VeganWithCurves3 жыл бұрын
It is the truth! Very effective! I got 3 extra bottles of his vitamin C and two extra bags of his green formula in stock. The vitamin C is sooooo good both my dad and one of my friends love it as well. They use it to knock out there flu and they're not vegan and it started to clean up their flu in a day or 2! I use it multiple times a day faithfully and the green formula I take that gives me so much extra energy. I also got his nighttime formula too. That stuff really relaxes you and you sleep throughout the night but I dont use it nightly. The magnesium can create a laxative effect in the morning so I only use it 4 -5 days a week. I love his products! They're pricey but they work!
