I love watching Build Tiny videos so much! There is always something beautiful and/or innovative to see. And tour guide Andy's joyful demeanor makes them fun! This one knocks it out of the park for me with that wallpaper, the bathroom mural, the MASSIVE kitchen window, the flip-up laptop desk upstairs, the retractable countertop range hood (who knew such things were possible!), and that utterly genius dog kennel/doggy door! WOW! And to fit a dishwasher and laundry machine inside as well is next-level! Kudos to Build Tiny and the owner for such a remarkable design! 👏

2:32 if you’re in a hammock and it’s chilly enough to want a blanket on top you have to deal with all of that cold air on your backside. Hammocks are cute. It’s a neat idea. It’s not super practical. That isn’t an ergonomic way to sit. He can’t spend time with his dog there. It doesn’t look wide enough to comfortably enjoy with a second person adjacent (not without both people resting on the support poles). I don’t see a surface for snacks or a beverage. And, yeah, if it’s cold that won’t be a very fun place to try to relax.

That desk space wouldn’t work for more tech oriented folks. I need a docking station, one or two monitors in addition to the laptop, and an external mouse and keyboard. I’m fine without a sit/stand desk. But, for a full workday I need the chair at an ergonomic height and the desk at a good night in relationship to the chair. The desk set up offered here is great for writing up an email or working for an hour here or there. But, it’s insufficient for a home office. Plus, sitting on the edge of the bed for 8-11 hours a day is going to compress and damage the mattress and start to impact your sleep. When you sleep your weight is disbursed over a larger area. And most people naturally toss and turn. Being stationary with your weight focused in a single area is not what a bed is designed to handle.

Hey Amanda, not sure what you mean, the video is just of one tiny house though you may catch a glimpse of another one in the background in our carpark. Yes, the sink is very small haha, not overly practical, but there is no oven so there will be no oven trays to wash!

Hey, I’m 68 and would never be able to climb that flat to the wall ladders. You are innovative … create one that folds and is really strong that will be hidden flush into a wall; all the while being integrated into a diagonal or chevron detail. ?yah🤔
@ginamariestevens3 жыл бұрын
Hey Simone, our builds are made to order by our clients and they get to choose all the features including the loft access to suit their needs, we have built many other tiny homes with different types of loft access and even ones that don't have lofts at all!
@simonewilliams72243 жыл бұрын
Thx for your response. I’m cognitive of getting orders before constructing a home only as a sample is to cost prohibitive. I mean for you to be innovative and when you do something special like I suggested you could get a patent for a while to protect your design and help with funding your business.

Hey Sylvia, thanks for your comment, there is minimal living space in this tiny house as it's only 6m long. It’s too bad that washer/dryer isn’t elevated. People famously do not want to bend over to deal with laundry. The space above is just storage. That space could be broken up to lift the washer/dryer up with storage above and below.
@seppukun2083 жыл бұрын
Ahhh so basically there's no lounge room. Not bad
@drazenmiskovic49523 жыл бұрын
I think a lot of makers are forgetting what the actual purpose of the tiny house is and because of that it's gone ridiculous. I know, it's small space, trying to fit in lots of stuff but some decisions are inhumane and not for day to day, everyday living. Seriously climbing up on wall ladders then jumping left or right to bed!? And that mesh hammock is safe for what? Mid sleep you're gonna remember you're on a hammock and not accidentally roll off and fall faceplant down literally into possible death/disability. Imagine rolling on your right hand side and landing in the kitchen area side :/ how does this pass safety? In Australia definitely wouldn't. And tiny, tiny dog space :( maybe it's ok for a weekend stay, but everyday living no.
@ginamariestevens3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment, Our builds are custom made, every feature is there for the specific client who commissioned the build, we're not marketing this as a tiny house that would suit everyone, far from it. We simple like to share our work as what we do is so varied and unique for every client. The net is certainly not for sleeping in, its more of a reading nook and it comes with a set of safety instructions that were passed to the client. Thanks again for your comment
@campbelloliver34383 жыл бұрын
'Inhumane'? Don't tell other people what's suitable for their lives - this is my home and it couldn't be more perfect. My dog is in fact very spoilt - she will never be locked in that space - it provides a warm, dry bed for her to retreat to from my fenced yard, if it's raining while she is home alone, without giving her access to the full house. She actually sleeps on my bed with me. I think you know where you can shove your unwanted opinions🖕
@Reeganz19773 жыл бұрын
I’m confused as to what your view on ‘the actual purpose of a tiny home is’ Build tiny have already explained that the builds are custom made to suit the buyer, of course a ladder wouldn’t be everyone’s choice. Perhaps your knees are getting a bit creaky and you’d prefer a chair lift? The net is clearly made for lounging, not sleeping. If you were stupid enough to fall asleep in a net like that then yeah, you probably shouldn’t be climbing ladders in the first place. Your comments on inhumanity and the owner needing a psychiatrist are just ignorant and rude. It’s a functioning work of art. I hope you’re loving the home you have, I’m sure this owner is. With their well loved happy dog and exceptionally planned space. Amazing work Build tiny!
