People talking about Loretta is the best song of the EP, but this one is a true banger to me with Juban District. Entertainment is a dope EP ender and I kinda like the idea that he put the lyrics to the final credit.Everything, literally every single detail of this video is a piece of nostalgia to me. I regret finding Ginger Root this late. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing more of his work to come out in the near future.

Nostalgia and culture are such strange things. I didn’t grow up in the 80s, yet because some things from back then bled into the early 2000s and spilled into my childhood through spending so much time with my parents and grandparents (the music they would play, the old TVs and VHS tapes they kept, the reruns of shows they watched, even some of their clothes from back then), I feel like I was there too. And I miss it.

Funny story: unbeknownst to me, I first heard this song in 2021, while it was playing on Ranboo’s starting soon screen. I fell in love with the song and listened to that little clip during the starting screen. About a year later I saw a clip from olden times about ranboos staring screen, and I remembered that song once again. I tried to find the stream that featured it, but I couldn’t, since it was so long ago. I backtracked all archives of ranboo’s streams but I couldn’t find one single stream that featured The starting screen with the song. Defeated, I gave up and forgot about it, until yesterday. I was listening to Spotify when a song by ginger root came up, and I loved loved loved how it sounded. I searched up more of your songs and decided to hit shuffle on a complete discography playlist. First song, lo and behold, entertainment. The first few notes hit me and it did not feel real. It was the exact song I had been looking for for so long. So thank you, ginger root and Spotify shuffle, for bringing me straight back to 2021. Hope I make it in at least 5% of your top listeners on Spotify this year. Godspeed. ❤
