Aww thanks.... It was definitley the opposite! I'm beat!! Photographed my first full wedding since the pandemic started yesterday - 100 degree heat and lugging tons of gear on me all day! 🤣 But glad to have them back!

OMG, This a Godsend and right on time! I applied for my business license 2 weeks ago and received nothing but crickets. Just completed this process took from January 22 to June 7 or the week of, to do the whole process from getting my fictitious business name to getting the business license and zoning certificate.

I'm guessing zoning was your hold up if you have a space you are open to clients - DBA, license, sellers permit are all typically fast

Great video Ginny! You've made the first hurdles tangible and less intimidating. I'm a racing photographer, and I'm going to promote my work using slideshows set to my music on my own KZbin channel (yet to be created). I will find a drop-ship supplier for metal renditions for most of my images, but some will be sold by me directly to the public. Any suggestions or pitfalls to avoid on this, particularly since images online can easily be stolen and used without permission? Any CRM software that you'd recommend to integrate into the Mac world? I'm thinking about using Quickbooks, but are there better alternatives for something small scale with probable a dozen or less sales per month? Thank you for your time and effort in advance!

Could you please make a video covering the options available for those of us who own a home based business in the state of California but would like to keep our home address private? I’d like to avoid any of my private personal information from becoming public record. Also, could you discuss virtual business address and if they are acceptable as the “place of doing business” address when filing for a sole proprietorship in California? Thank you so much!

The only way to keep your home address private would be to register under a different business address - either through having a separate office with an address or a virtual office - which is essential a mailbox inside of a third party company providing virtual office services - if that service provides virtual office services and not just mail receiving then you can register that as your business address however your personal address used previously will always be on public record as a previous location if you initially filed with that.

@@customfittedinc you need a physical brick and mortar address for a business license. A box does not suffice, you would need a virtual office - mine is through ipostal since I don't currently have a studio and have a virtual office address on my business license.

A seller's permit is a state license that allows you to sell items at the wholesale or retail level and to issue resale certificates to suppliers from whom you have paid a wholesale rate from.

All of your business documents need to be under whatever you are calling your business to your customers. If you aren't using your legal name as your business title, you must register a fictitious business name statement - which registers and connects that business name to you. You then will register your business license and seller's permit to that business name.
