Their preference might be different. But if dating is important and you wanna date a young chick, Vietnam won’t be your first option. Some people just wanna have a cheap lifestyle or they love the culture. Internet is not good i've been looking for a condo for more than 6 weeks and finally found one with decent internet they can prove to me. The infrastructure is quite bad here most of the places in cebu are not walkable (broken sidewalks). I once lived with a roommate who had a dog that would bark at me constantly while she was away and it drove me nuts. So I got this speaker from petco that would detect the dog bark and play back a dog whistle sound. The dog didn't like it, but she wouldn't bark in the room where the speaker was nor the room next to it, which pretty much opened up me being able to go into the common areas without being harassed by the dog. I don't think it was weather proof, wouldn't work outside on a rainy day. It was relatively cheap, think it was sixty dollars or so.

I personally think Bangkok or Kuala Lumpur would be the best for retirement at an older age. While being healthy and adventurous, the Philippines is surely a fun place to be in but once you turn into an age you wanna live in a reliable infrastructure with world class medical service and other perks at the same price or cheaper than the PH. And you can always visit the Philippines with a girlfriend/fiancé for family gatherings. But of course if someone raises a child, it would not work out. Or BGC I guess.

His return ticket to the USA will be used to show his exit from the Philippines. As an example Douglas arrives in January 2024 and is planning to leave in December 2024. His side trip to Vietnam, as an example, is the month of July. Just carry the documents of the exit in December. I’ve been doing it for 22 years. No problem with immigration. A side note for Douglas is my favorite airlines are always Asian country airlines. Korean flies from around 13 USA cities. I fly from Las Vegas with only two (2) rides. They fly to Manila and Cebu. Gio, I enjoy all your videos and enjoy your content but I have to say it would be worthy to also mention to your viewers that PH is very third world. Just made my first trip and was quite disappointed by my experience. Other countries I visited (Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand) were far more pleasant, in my opinion. Hope everyone finds the place they like.

The new tax law regarding tax residency coming into effect in Thailand on 1Jan24 may change your mind. If you're ok with paying tax on foreign currency remittances this may not concern you. For me, I have no intention to pay tax on retirement income remittances to the Thai government for the sake of living in Thailand 180 days or more a year.

Own investments that pay high yield dividends and distributions. Along with other investments, ie IRA, company savings plans, etc and when SS kicks in you’ll be on easy street. I’m 61, retired, netting roughly $45K annually. I live comfortably in Texas. I can only imagine how far my earnings can go in the Philippines.
@AntiTheismForever11 ай бұрын
@@BrianTX409 Echo your advice. My passive retirement income from high yield investments and SS will allow me to enjoy a standard of living in the Philippines that most can only dream about in the U.S.
