I'm glad they didn't go the typical Asian route of giving the main character a makeover as a form of revenge. It's nice that she learned to love herself as she was and that she was able to overcome her rivalry with the antagonist. However, it was weird that she started dating someone who seemed to be old enough to date her nemesis' step father? So, can we also say that he could have been her step father?

*This movie is just not believable.......* 1) Whitney and Axel have no chemistry (just a one-note interest in a book)and Axel has no reason to be wooing her. He's a trainer, and she's a trainee. The movie tries too hard to shoehorn a romance in it when you know Whitney has no reason to like him besides him being a handsome fellow. 2)They love each other after one kiss and 3 arguments..........yeah right 3)1:36 You know this movie was made past 2021 when the parents let their daughter go anywhere dressed like that!!
