Girl Flying a Plane For The First Time! (Over the Ocean To an Island)

Today we surprise Tanner fox and his girlfriend with a flight to Catalina Island in our F33a turbo Bonanza. We also let her fly the plane for the very first time. We did some fun maneuvers, zero G dives, banking turns, etc. We also did a formation flight with a brand new Cirrus SR22 turbo. Shelby did a great job and will maybe be a female pilot one day!

To think I was watching Tanner Fox 4 years ago & now I see him flying with Owen & JR out of my home airport. French Valley is a gem. I’m 18 & just completed my commercial written exam last week at French Valley, currently time building towards the 250hr mark. I will one day fly Gulfstreams just like Owen. Onwards and Upwards!

Speed limit is more than the Bonanza will do but as you know it's 250kts under 10,000 ft MSL which you were.

Not to be a party pooper but if you're going to let a novice/unlicensed pilot be at the controls I believe you need to hold an appropriate instructor qualification and be in a fully dual controlled aircraft, believe the throw over yoke is a no no for initial flight training. I could be wrong on all of this (I'm EASA based) but I'd be certain that any video I posted complied with Federal Avaition Requirement otherwise it might come back to bite you later in your career.

entertaining video but all the excessive flexing and steep turns are a big nono for me, especially with lots of people on board. We all like to have fun but bad things happen to overconfident pilots. And while the Bonanza has responsive control surfaces, that doesn't make the airplane particularly acrobatic. If you had a failure this could have ended badly.
