Whoa! As a Bay Area resident...I was thinking how awesome it would be to run into Owen...have seen him on your Channel and Matt G's. Then you fly into my local airport (Byron) and my kids and I lost it! Love your channel and videos...keep 'em coming!

Great to see Owen flying this plane. It scares me to think that you have two complex planes with no license. Hopefully you do the right thing and get plenty of experience before you contemplate flying either of these planes.

Imagine having to do aerial survey missions over the bay for 2 months between 2,500-3,000 ft. I had to do that and it was tough. Worked in tandem with NorCal every day to allow me to do my work which would be 6-8 hours a day and a lot in the approach path of SFO, OAK, and SJC traffic. Definitely an experience builder!

That was a really neat flight to see. I live along the Peninsula. Those clouds you saw by the mountains are from Half Moon Bay's typical fog along the coast. Owen is quite the skilled pilot.

Great example of airspace knowledge. Pity weather didn’t permit it but flying low you can even split the pylons of the Golden Gate Bridge followed by circling Alcatraz outside of the Bravo. For the next run 😉.

@@JRAviation night was less hectic with ATC. Air was smooth and it was almost relaxing. The lights were beautiful. SFO even told United, “Cessna at your 1 o’clock, 2000 feet, cleared for takeoff.”

I’d suspect insurance for a student, or low time, welded gear pilot, would be totally outrageous in that Bonanza. GA planes seem to be literally falling out the sky these days. Seems Cali has more than their fair share of plane crashes too. These guys are smart to have a professional ATP jet jockey overseeing their aviation program. Great job on the video.
@kdub16662 жыл бұрын
I just checked that earlier and California had a staggering number of plane crashes in 2018 and I would guess it's only gotten worse. And all that ATC hand off is a PITA. No doubt there are still nicer places to fly though.
